Oh Olivia We Love Ya And Your Senior Pictures Are Fantastic!

Oh Olivia we love ya!!!  We have loved this senior pretty much since we met her – she’s cool, smart, athletic, nice, pretty on the inside and out – the whole package!  You may remember that she kicked off the spokesmodel sessions for the class of 2018 with some shots that have already solidified themselves as iconic shots in Frameable Faces lore!

Oh Olivia!

So needless to say we were excited to get her in front of Ally’s camera again this time outside in a gorgeous setting and the results are stunning as we knew they would be!  Since we were exclusively in the studio the first time around we went totally on location this time joined by Olivia’s awesome mom Liz, and……wow!

Oh Olivia

Love it – the blue shirt and the blue eyes!

We also have some fun behind the scenes for you – first from the replay of our live broadcast from Facebook Live:

At this point we focused on some of the pretty colors we found – plenty of purple, green and yellow goldenrod like this one:

Oh Olivia

Love that – and that lighting is perfect!  Olivia looks amazing.

We also have more behind the scenes from our replay of our YouTube Live broadcast – such a cool spot on the bridge…

And the sublime result…

Oh Olivia

What a session…  and we’ll leave you with this one last photo:

Oh Olivia

Amazing!!! Oh Olivia we love ya for sure!!!  And we hope you all enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Twin Seniors Part 2! This Time It’s Shoshie Fo Sho!

As promised we present Part 2 of yesterday’s Twin Senior highlights!!!  Yesterday the focus was on Hallie, and today it’s Shoshie FO SHO!!!  Haha!  Loving the results from the day we spent with these two and their mom Caryn – we laughed a lot that day and the girls were rock stars!

Shoshie Fo Sho!

The focus for both girls was the summer style portraits on location in a natural setting so today will be more of the same awesomeness, and we’ll start with this one on the edge of the Quarton Lake dock in Birmingham:

Shoshie Fo Sho

She looks great!  A little backlight and great conditions that day too!

The next pose shows a playful side of Shoshie – much fun!

Shoshie Fo Sho

Love it!

We also have the behind the scenes live stream from Facebook for you – the YouTube Live broadcast is in Hallie’s post.

With twins we have plenty of time to roam around and hit different spots and here’s one of Shoshie in the stream…Shoshie Fo Sho

Love her reflection in the water too!

One more of Shoshie close up….

Shoshie Fo Sho

So pretty – and one of the girls together in the water….!

Shoshie Fo Sho

So adorable!!!

So there you have it!  Twin seniors, twin blog posts, twin highlights – double the fun, and we hoped you enjoyed the photos!

Twin Seniors! First Up Let’s Say Hello To Hallie, Shall We?

Twin seniors are a delight to photograph for lots of reasons.  One example off the top is for starters there is usually no problem with getting comfortable being in front of the camera because they have each other to laugh with and take the edge off.  Now to be clear it’s not that there’s usually a problem with that – we have a consultation ahead of time to meet our seniors, get to know them, and design the session around them and their style, but with twins there’s that added connection between them which usually makes for much fun.  Now, throw in the fact that we already know Hallie and Shoshie (they are friends of our Lacey) and that they’re smart, hilarious and adorable and we’ve got a winner of a day!  We’ll call this part 1 and focus on Hallie first, and then we’ll give Shoshie her own blog post – in alphabetical order (plus Hallie is older) – ha!  But we’ll be sure to sneak in a twin shot too…

Hello To Hallie

We focused exclusively on location for the girls in Birmingham, and their mom Caryn came along.  We had lots of laughs, good conditions outside and the girls did a fine job!  Let’s take a look at Hallie who was game to jump right in if you see what I mean…  lol! Hallie

Love the in-the-water shot!

Next we have this fantastic close up:

Hallie

One nice aspect of summer sessions at Quarton Lake is that there’s plenty of wild flowers to be found and they make for a gorgeous shot like this one of Hallie:

Hallie

Beautiful!!!

We also have some fun behind the scenes from our live broadcasts – we’ll show one of those here from YouTube Live and you’ll just have to check back for Shoshie’s highlights to see the video from Facebook Live (although it’s not hard to scroll and find on our page).

And we’ll leave you with one more of Hallie…..

Hallie

….and one of the twins together!

Hallie

So there you have it!  An awesome day with these girls and Hallie rocked her photos!  So did Shoshie – stay tuned…..!

Seth Showed All Sides (and there are many) On His Senior Session!

Seth showed all of his sides in this session and yes there are many!  He’s a genuinely nice kid and he’s talented as can be!  Guitar, tennis, golf – we actually couldn’t fit all of his interests and activities into this blog post – lol!  But we got a few of them and we think you’ll agree that they made for some pretty awesome images.

Seth Showed All Sides

We started on location at Seth’s house where we had close access to a golf course as well as his car which made an appearance as well!  Seth’s mom Tammy joined us and we had plenty of fun.  We started out on the golf course for this photo bright and early!

Seth Shows

…and while we were there we got this shot of Seth with his sweet Dodge Challenger – plenty of muscle!

Seth Showed

At this point we headed over to Birmingham and we started some behind the scenes live video which we have the replays of for you here!  First with YouTube Live – be sure to subscribe to our channel too!

Here is a shot with another side – Seth the musician!

Seth Showed

We also have more behind the scenes – this time from the Facebook Live broadcast…

And one more photo – just the cool side!

Seth Showed

We hope you enjoyed the many sides of Seth as much as we enjoyed capturing them!!!

Sammy The Future Chef Had A Scrumptious Soirée For His Bar Mitzvah!

Sammy is a future chef in the making – the dude can create some serious culinary concoctions and he knows quality when he tastes it so you know if he has any say at all in the menu at his bar mitzvah that it’s gonna be gooooooood – a scrumptious soirée!  And in this case the food didn’t disappoint!  We know because we were there – as guests, because Sammy is our nephew!  Ally did indeed take a few photos at the weekday service at Adat Shalom Synagogue which we’ll share here, but the bulk of these highlights come from the event and is the work of our fantastic event photographer Angela!  Let’s start with a few photos from the small chapel earlier in the week at shul.

What a legacy…

Sammy’s great grandfather was the cantor at Adat Shalom for many years so it was very special for Sammy to carry on that tradition as the first of his generation within that family to become a Bar Mitzvah.  Here are a few highlights as Sammy leads the service and does the name proud:

Scrumptious soirée

Sammy reads from the Torah

Scrumptious soirée

Sammy with his dad and maternal grandfather putting on tefillin

Scrumptious soirée

Sammy and his parents receive a blessing from the Rabbi

Let’s get to the Scrumptious Soirée!

The party was held at the Royal Oak Farmer’s Market – a great wide open space for a bash!  The food was off the charts with Asian, Mexican, and Israeli stations for food and everyone had a blast – I know we did!  Sammy had a ton of fun on his big day for sure.
Scrumptious soirée

The Whole Scene!

Scrumptious soirée

Sammy gets a lift during the traditional Hora Dance!

Haha – think he was enjoying this?

Scrumptious soirée

Sammy with his peeps

Scrumptious soirée

The Bar Mitzvah Stud

That’s a great shot by Angela of Sammy!

Scrumptious soirée

The Happy Family!

Scrumptious soirée

Sammy kicks back and takes it in

Scrumptious soirée

“Then and Now” Sammy!

What is hilarious about that shot is Sammy is recreating the big photo that was taken by Ally when Sammy was only 2!

Scrumptious soirée

Stacy & Jason get to relax and enjoy the celebration!

We love that last shot – the way Angela framed Stacy and Jason with all the celebratory raised glasses is perfect!  All in all it was a day and a night to remember at Sammy’s Scrumptious Soirée!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights!

Shaista Brings Back The Whole Crew and They’re Growing UP!!!

We get excited when Shaista brings back the whole crew!  We started photographing her kids shortly after we opened our studio space here in the Orchard Mall and they are just an awesome family – great kids and much fun to have around.  The wrinkle this time was that Shaista brought her husband Shabbir to get the whole family in the photos!  There’s a little story here – we’ve known Shaista and the kids for years but we never met Shabbir before so the running joke was that he wasn’t real – that we didn’t believe he existed.  Haha!  Well we can now say he does indeed exist and he’s as delightful as we would have expected.  I joked with him that we thought he was a phantom and he replied “Hey I was out working hard for these guys!”  Now that’s a good guy.  So without further adieu let’s take a look at some sneak peeks of this fabulous session!

Shaista Brings Back The Whole Crew…

Let’s start with the whole fam in a portrait with traditional dress which is always a joy – such vibrant colors against the brown earth tones…  love this:

Shaista brings

What an awesome group!

We also have some video replays from the live broadcasts we did during the session for a little behind the scenes fun – first on YouTube Live which we just started doing some of – you can subscribe to our channel here!

Next let’s focus in on a photo of just the happy couple!

Shaista brings

They look fantastic!

We also have a little more behind the scenes fun this time from the Facebook Live broadcast we did:

They’re Growing UP!!!

Now let’s focus on the kids!  We have a couple of photos of the 4 of them being, well…..the 4 of them!  Haha!

First in the traditional clothing…

Shaista brings

And next in some casual gear…. love it!

Shaista brings

So fun!!!  You can tell they were having a blast – being kids but still really well behaved – love them!

And there you have it – when Shaista brings back the whole crew we have a ton of fun.  We hope you enjoyed the sneak peeks from their session!

Double Trouble? Double FUN! Meet Harrison and Henry!

I got a phone call from Carlos looking to set up a photo session on pretty short notice…..for his twin one month old boys!  I knew Ally would be pretty excited since we’ve had plenty of babies in the studio and plenty of twins, but no twin babies!  We had time available the following day which was exactly 30 days from Harrison and Henry’s birth so it seemed like the planets were aligning!  And what a session!  Are twin boys double trouble to photograph?  HECK NO – they’re double FUN!!!

Double Fun with Harrison and Henry!

Carlos and Gina came to the studio well prepared with some monogrammed burp cloths for the boys which we’ll get to.  In the meantime for one month old babies it’s hit or miss on how easy it will be to get them to sleep which always makes for easier posing and photographing.  So with twins this was somewhat unchartered territory!  Indeed, they were not ready to nap when they got here so we had to wait it out a bit….  a little classical music, some low light, some high heat and an hour or two of patience and we were in business!!!  We always block off two hours but allow for cushion on the back end with little babies just in case we need the extra time.  So without further adieu, let’s meet the boys!

We’ll start with the individual shots – first of Henry:

Double Fun

How great is he?

And here’s Harrison…

Double Fun

Okay how awesome is the tongue…!

We also have some fun behind the scenes action for you – first with the replay of the Periscope broadcast – you can join in the fun and follow us on Periscope at @frameablefaces at this link, or you can just check out the broadcasts from twitter here.

And here is an amazing shot from that part of the session that will definitely make you smile….

Double Fun

Caption that one however you like.  🙂

We have one more broadcast replay this time from Facebook Live and this one was shared and liked quite a bit…

We’ll leave you with one more photo from the session with the monogrammed burp cloths from the Facebook broadcast:

Double Fun

Double fun indeed!!!!  Double adorable, double delicious – the list goes on and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with Harrison and Henry!

A Calm, Cool & Confident Senior – Joseph Is No Joke!

Not that he would be anyway for any reason, but no – Joseph is no joke!  The guy called and scheduled his senior session himself – he came in earlier in the school year to do his yearbook headshot just under the deadline and we planned out the rest together.  So right off the bat he showed some responsibility that not all high school seniors display.  Plus he’s just a soft spoken but plenty cool and confident dude and we enjoyed hanging out with him a lot.

Calm, Cool & Confident – no joke…

We started out in the studio and went with the blue / grey background which we really like.  Here’s an up close and personal shot of our guy in a snappy casual look:

No Joke

Now just because Joseph handled the plans for this session doesn’t mean that his mom Eleanor wasn’t involved – she came on the session and she got into a couple shots!  She’s a sweetheart and here’s a nice one of senior and mom together!

No Joke

How cute are they?

Okay now it was time to head outside for some location photos at Heritage Park in Farmington Hills, and we did a little behind the scenes on Facebook Live while we were there…

It was a little chilly but the lighting was fine and we got a couple of great photos…  First on the rocks – and we’re digging the pink shirt!

No Joke

We’ll leave you with one more against the picket fence – you can see the confidence with this young man!

No Joke

And there you have it – Joseph is certainly no joke and we were glad to have him at our studio!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him and Eleanor!

Sami Spokesmodels and Slays At A Splendid New Spot!

Here we go moving right along with the upcoming class of 2018 as Sami spokesmodels and slays!  We are pretty excited for Sami as we are with all of the members of our new crew so far, and with this session we are particularly excited because we ventured out to a new location we’ve never been to and boy was it worth it!  Ally had the idea to give Mill Race Park a try in Commerce, and what a cool spot!  The Huron River, trails, a bridge, a covered bridge, graffiti – this park has it all, and all the features are in close proximity to each other.  A real gem!

Speaking of gems, Sami is surely one herself.  We’ve known Sami for a few years as well as her mom and dad and she is a real sweetheart – everyone has nothing but the nicest things to say about Sami!  She’s not only sweet and adorable either – she’s on debate team, Peer Corps, and she dances too!  She looked beautiful and the weather was crazy warm – 60 degrees on February 23rd!!!  And yes – that was yesterday as of this writing!  Ally was pretty excited to go through these and she grabbed 4 to edit so we could rush this out onto the blog and send out in our weekly Friday newsletter which you can sign up for here.  So with a quick shout out to the girls at Mandy Rose Studio for Sami’s makeup and hair let’s get to the location shots where Sami spokesmodels and slays shall we?

Sami Spokesmodels and Slays….

So the first landmark we came across was this cool bridge and that’s where we started:

Sami Spokesmodels

Love it!

We also have plenty of behind the scenes fun from the session for you to check out.  First the replay of our live Periscope broadcast – you can join us on Periscope to be a part of our broadcasts here or you can just follow and watch from twitter as well!

There are some great remains from the Commerce Roller Mill which dates back to the 1840’s so we played around with them for some shots – here’s one…

Sami Spokesmodels

When we were researching this location there was mention on the website of a covered bridge so we (Sami actually) found it and we fired up another Facebook Live broadcast…

…..and here is a resulting photo from the bridge!  “Sami’s bridge” going forward since she pioneered it which is how we roll here at Frameable Faces.  Actually the whole park is Sami’s…. lol.

Sami Spokesmodels

How cute is she?

Okay now we have one more shot to share – Ally loves this one of Sami just being adorable looking over her shoulder with more ruins in the background…

Sami Spokesmodels

We also did a few shots in the studio and you take a look at the behind the scenes fun below!  Sami will ultimately be able to share some of these on her own but we wanted to focus on the location for this post since it was a new spot for us!

We’ll finish it off with the Snapchat story we posted from the session – be sure to follow us there too!

So there you have it!  We now know when Sami spokesmodels it’s surely something special and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!  She’ll be back on this blog and in the window of our studio – we’re not through with her yet!!!  Lol!
