We love photographing celebrations – who doesn’t love a sports themed bar mitzvah?  We actually photographed Ari when he was a toddler so this was pretty cool to be a part of his special day as he takes his place as a man in the Jewish tradition!  He crushed it at services and the party was a banger!  Let’s take a look at the highlights of the celebration with Ari and his family on their special day shall we?

Ty Didn’t Let 2020 Spoil The Celebration Of His Bar Mitzvah!

Ty is a great kid and like many youngsters he had to adapt a celebration to the times that we’re in.  2020 was a challenging year for everybody but you wouldn’t know it spending time with this dude for his bar mitzvah which took place several months ago!  This was the second time around with a mitzvah for us with this family so let’s goooo!

First let’s take a couple peaks at the session that Ally did with Ty ahead of time for some cutouts to put in the backyard for the scaled back outdoor gathering they had planned.  Ty is a multi-sport athlete so we covered all the bases (pun intended) on a great day with his mom Angela!  Let’s start with football…

Brennan’s Bar Mitzvah Was A Bash – A Real Hat Trick!

Brennan’s Bar Mitzvah was a bash!  It was a hockey themed party at High Velocity Sports in Canton and Star Trax was there with the music and the hype!  It all came together for a great event and our event photographer Angela was there to capture it while we partied as guests with Brennan and his family – some of our oldest friends!

Let’s highlight a few photos from Temple Israel which is what a bar mitzvah celebration starts with and is really the core of the proceedings – when a young man reads from the Torah and becomes an adult member of the community!

Everyone enjoyed themselves in a casual setting with plenty of games, sport activities and dancing at High Velocity Sports.  Angela likes to get there early to get some photos of the room and the set up – here’s the sign in board with the table assignments – as you can see the score was “13-0” in favor of Brennan!

Brennan is a hockey player as you might guess and that was an emphasis with his theme!  As a matter of fact he came to the studio ahead of time for a session with Ally for the decorations – here’s the behind the scenes fun from that day!

Sammy The Future Chef Had A Scrumptious Soirée For His Bar Mitzvah!

Sammy is a future chef in the making – the dude can create some serious culinary concoctions and he knows quality when he tastes it so you know if he has any say at all in the menu at his bar mitzvah that it’s gonna be gooooooood – a scrumptious soirée!  And in this case the food didn’t disappoint!  We know because we were there – as guests, because Sammy is our nephew!  Ally did indeed take a few photos at the weekday service at Adat Shalom Synagogue which we’ll share here, but the bulk of these highlights come from the event and is the work of our fantastic event photographer Angela!  Let’s start with a few photos from the small chapel earlier in the week at shul.
 

What a legacy…

Sammy’s great grandfather was the cantor at Adat Shalom for many years so it was very special for Sammy to carry on that tradition as the first of his generation within that family to become a Bar Mitzvah.  Here are a few highlights as Sammy leads the service and does the name proud:

The party was held at the Royal Oak Farmer’s Market – a great wide open space for a bash!  The food was off the charts with Asian, Mexican, and Israeli stations for food and everyone had a blast – I know we did!  Sammy had a ton of fun on his big day for sure.

Game On! It’s Time For A Bar Mitzvah Celebration At Adam’s Arcade!

Adam’s Arcade was a fantastic event and this was our second go around with this family – you may remember older brother Jesse’s bar mitzvah celebration a little while back with our event photographer Angela capturing the images of these wonderful events each time!  We’re coming up on a quarter century of knowing the Krugels and both families are done with the bar and bat mitzvahs of this generation – time sure flies.  Meanwhile Adam is an awesome kid and a total character – his personality was stamped all over this party for sure…

Now let’s get to the bash – and it was such a cool theme.  Adam’s arcade was just that – a legit arcade!  Sure there was a DJ and a dance floor and fun decorations but there was actually an arcade in the back of the room complete with video games, and they also had a sweet retro logo which was available as a snapchat filter!
