We put the camera on Camryn and her family members for her recent bat mitzvah celebration! These events are so special and our event photographer Angela captures them so well! We’re happy to share these highlights with you of Camryn’s special day!
Camera On Camryn
Let’s get to the photos at Temple Israel of Camryn and her family – this was earlier in the year before there could be any real events due to COVID-19, but that didn’t get in the way of celebrating such a special milestone!
There’s the young lady with her mom Laura!
Here’s Camryn with dad Jeff, mom Laura and brother Devin!
And now a little spotlight on the girl of the hour…
Okay, she’s adorable!
One more with the Torah on the bimah!
Love it! Mazel Tov all the way around to this beautiful young lady! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of her special day!

So if you’ve been in the Orchard Mall you’ve undoubtedly noticed the crying baby in the window of our studio – it’s impossible not to and that photo has provided many a smile and a laugh to a passerby over the past decade-plus…
Well that little crying baby is our nephew Gabe, and Gabe hit the milestone of his Bar Mitzvah this past Fall! Like many events that were scheduled for 2020 there were many adjustments that had to be made on the fly – in Gabe’s case a postponement and then a scaling back that may have bummed out and even broken a “lesser man”, but Gabe took it in stride and didn’t let a crappy year dim his shine! With a little creativity and a lot of hard work it was still an event to remember. I know we always will!
The Crying Baby Grows Up
Just look at this dude:
That pic sums it up, but we have plenty more highlights to share, taken by our awesome event photographer Angela!
Gabe’s service was immediate family only. BUT…. everyone was still “there” not only on zoom but in the form of cutouts like you see at sporting events!!! They filled the sanctuary and I (Doug) grabbed this panorama with my iPhone of the scene!
How cool is that? This was a surprise for Gabe – just one of many ways his parents Stacy and Jason made it special for him (cutouts by Winning Imprints)!
Here is the man at the bimah with the Torah!
After a small outdoor “tailgate” in the parking lot with a few masked and distanced family members we headed back to the house for a very small get together, with all of Gabe’s favorite foods!
Gotta love the special edition Gabriel gear! Hoodies by MyLocker.net in Detroit! We even had Gabriel masks!

Brennan’s Bar Mitzvah was a bash! It was a hockey themed party at High Velocity Sports in Canton and Star Trax was there with the music and the hype! It all came together for a great event and our event photographer Angela was there to capture it while we partied as guests with Brennan and his family – some of our oldest friends!
Tradition
Let’s highlight a few photos from Temple Israel which is what a bar mitzvah celebration starts with and is really the core of the proceedings – when a young man reads from the Torah and becomes an adult member of the community!
He’s ready to roll.
Looking sharp!
Surrounded by family and ready to celebrate this awesome rite of passage!
On the Bimah
Brennan did a great job leading the service and was totally prepared!
A proud dad moment – father and son!
Brennan’s Party!
Everyone enjoyed themselves in a casual setting with plenty of games, sport activities and dancing at High Velocity Sports. Angela likes to get there early to get some photos of the room and the set up – here’s the sign in board with the table assignments – as you can see the score was “13-0” in favor of Brennan!
The Decorations
Brennan is a hockey player as you might guess and that was an emphasis with his theme! As a matter of fact he came to the studio ahead of time for a session with Ally for the decorations – here’s the behind the scenes fun from that day!
And one of the results that were blown up large and on display at the party:
Now let’s get back to the fun and a proud mom moment with Brennan and his mom Monique!
Here’s one with Brennan’s crew! You can see they were having fun!
It’s a fun tradition to dance the Hora and lift up the bar or bat mitzvah on a chair!
You can see a great time was had by all and especially for the man of the hour:
And there you have it! An event to remember and we’re glad we were able to be a part of it! We hope you enjoyed the highlights!

It’s always a great honor to be trusted with the responsibility of taking the photos of an important event – a milestone in the life of a family and a bat mitzvah is certainly one that fits that description! In this case we are presenting a few highlights from Dylan’s recent bat mitzvah with the party theme of “Dylan’s Candy Bat Mitzvah” with the photos by our wonderful event photographer Angela!
A Sweet Time for Dylan
We actually remember when Dylan was born and we have known her parents Danny and Angela (don’t get confused – yes our event photographer and the bat mitzvah’s mom’s names are both Angela) for well before that, so these photos are really neat to have on our blog! Let’s start with the star – Dylan!
The beautiful bat mitzvah girl!
We are also big fans of this photo which Angela is able to capture at each and every mitzvah – the proud parents looking on…
And how about a slightly-silly-but-spot-on family portrait….? You know they were having fun.
Dylan’s Candy Bat Mitzvah!
Let’s head to the party shall we? Here’s a great photo from the candle lighting…
…and here’s Dylan with her crew:
We’ll end it up on the traditional hora dance as the girl of the hour gets lifted up above the crowd!
And there you have it! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of Dylan’s celebration!

There’s nothing like one of those special and memorable family events – milestones by which we mark the stages of our lives and celebrate together like a Bar Mitzvah! We have been honored to be a part of many of these since we brought our event photographer Angela on board, and Evrett’s Bar Mitzvah is no exception! We have some highlights to share from this awesome celebration!
Evrett’s Awesome Celebration
Let’s start with the man of the hour:
A fine looking young man!
Now how about a nice family photo:
Always a great occasion to get some great family portraits with everyone happy and looking so nice!
Tradition
Here we have a couple photos representing some of the Jewish traditions that go along with a Bar Mitzvah…
…and the party!!!
Think he was having fun? This is always a fun shot of the Bar Mitzvah boy up in the air, on top of the world during the traditional Hora dance!
And there you have it! We hope you enjoyed a few of the highlights of Evrett’s big day and the family’s awesome celebration!

We have known Riley since she was born – she’s actually my Goddaughter, so this was a special day for us. It was also special to have our amazing event photographer Angela there to capture the event – it gives us a warm and fuzzy feeling to have Angela there to ensure that our friends and family will have memorable photos from the event the way they deserve.
We’ll start with the traditional photos of Riley at the bimah and with her family.
Needless to say we’re a little biased but we love the way our Angela (we love to joke and call her “Nikon Girl” since she rocks a Nikon and Ally is Canon all the way) captures these moments and the composition of her photos! She’s awesome.
Next let’s bring in some photos with Riley and the fam… First with proud parents Todd and Monique gazing at her from afar! You’ve seen this type of photo on this blog before – it’s one of our favorites every time.
A classic black and white of Daddy’s girl….
And here’s the proud family with little brother Brennan and little sister Sage!
We think this girl was enjoying herself…
Kickin’ It With Riley!
Next we’ll move on to the party! First we have the bat mitzvah girl getting ready for the bash… love these little details looking over Monique’s shoulder with Riley’s reflection in the mirror…
Ready to celebrate!
The party was awesome and “Kickin’ It With Riley” was the theme since she is a soccer player, and I even captured a shot with my iPhone behind the scenes of Angela at work!
We love Angela! Here’s a quick selfie…
And here is a fantastic photo we’ll leave you with as Riley’s friends and family lift her up to celebrate her as she surveys the room during the traditional hora dance!
An awesome way to close out the highlights of an an awesome day! We hope you enjoyed these photos of Riley’s special event!
Many of you asked to see the pictures from our son’s Bar Mitzvah when they are available, so we are sharing a few photos from our special day! When photographers need pictures the question inevitably comes up “So who is photographing YOUR event? You aren’t doing it right?” Haha – that would be interesting – setting up each shot and then….setting the timer and getting back in the picture right? Of course not.
Well as you may know for some time we were not really in the event photography business. It’s not Ally’s specialty personally and we couldn’t work on weekend nights or we would never see our kids. Enter our wonderful event photographer Angela. She has done a fantastic job for Frameable Faces on events and at this point we couldn’t think of anyone better to trust with the task of photographing Tony’s Bar Mitzvah. She did an amazing job as we knew she would. We are so proud to showcase not only our son and our happiness on the occasion of his Bar Mitzvah, but also Angela’s work as we have watched her grow over the years since the very first day she simply walked into our studio, still a student, and asked if we might be looking for another photographer.
First we started at Adat Shalom Synagogue during the week for pictures of the service on the day of our rehearsal:
“Tailgating With Tony”
Our party was at Oakland Yard Athletics in Waterford which is an amazing place to have a party and we also want to give shout outs in particular to Just Baked for their amazing cupcakes, Nick at Pine Lake Market for the amazing job catering, Co. 512 for the Adidas wear, Top That Table for the awesome decorations, and Josh and Cassie from Tronix Entertainment for getting the party started and keeping it going! Meanwhile back to the pictures and the awesome job Angela did capturing the scene and the mood! She was everywhere…
That mechanical bulldog is hilarious… Tony and his friends were able to play various sports throughout pretty much the whole party.
Next it was time for Tony to make his official entrance for the montage and candle lighting.
Time To Hora!
The hora is a traditional dance at Jewish occasions and it’s always a blast! Angela captured a bunch of great photos of the hora!
We love this view of the entire party where you can see a full dance floor doing the “wobble” while others were hitting golf balls, playing other sports, or just hanging out.
Lastly we love this photo of our happy family – especially the kids dancing together (and not fighting)!
So there you have it! Highlights from one of the best nights of our lives. We are happy to share them with you and we hope you enjoyed them!
