This Was A Fun and Fabulous Frameable Family of 6!

Sometimes life happens – things get crazy, you’re raising kids and it’s the glorious chaos of life, right?  Heba is a perfect example of this with the story of this session – first let’s just say at the end of the day she has 4 amazing kids and just an overall fabulous Frameable family!  4 kids ranging from 15 to 3 – which we know ain’t always easy, but judging by the results we have to give it up to her and Vinny – they are pulling it off in style.  Meanwhile Heba stopped in here a year ago to plan a family session and then it didn’t happen – like the first sentence I typed above life happened!  We had almost forgotten about her – almost.  But when she popped back in with a huge friendly smile asking “remember me?” I absolutely did and we were thrilled that she came back!  Her little man was turning 3 and the timing was good for them to get this scheduled.  So without further adieu let’s take a look – we’re going to present these a little differently than we usually would because we LOVE the 4 close ups of the children which Heba will be displaying in her home along with the family portrait!

Fabulous Frameable Family!

Let’s start with the traditional family portrait – what a gorgeous crew.  The little guy and I bonded – we were giving each other “two thumbs up” to get ready for each shot and he was a total pro – and I gotta tell you, not all 3 year olds are the easiest to photograph, but we usually can get it done and with this little one there was no problem.

So here is the Fabulous Frameable Family:

Fabulous Frameable

….and here are the children in order from oldest to youngest with matching close crop black and white portraits!  Love these.

Fabulous Frameable

Fabulous Frameable

Stunning right?  We really enjoyed having this crew in the studio, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time with them!

Shaista Brings Back The Whole Crew and They’re Growing UP!!!

We get excited when Shaista brings back the whole crew!  We started photographing her kids shortly after we opened our studio space here in the Orchard Mall and they are just an awesome family – great kids and much fun to have around.  The wrinkle this time was that Shaista brought her husband Shabbir to get the whole family in the photos!  There’s a little story here – we’ve known Shaista and the kids for years but we never met Shabbir before so the running joke was that he wasn’t real – that we didn’t believe he existed.  Haha!  Well we can now say he does indeed exist and he’s as delightful as we would have expected.  I joked with him that we thought he was a phantom and he replied “Hey I was out working hard for these guys!”  Now that’s a good guy.  So without further adieu let’s take a look at some sneak peeks of this fabulous session!

Shaista Brings Back The Whole Crew…

Let’s start with the whole fam in a portrait with traditional dress which is always a joy – such vibrant colors against the brown earth tones…  love this:

Shaista brings

What an awesome group!

We also have some video replays from the live broadcasts we did during the session for a little behind the scenes fun – first on YouTube Live which we just started doing some of – you can subscribe to our channel here!

Next let’s focus in on a photo of just the happy couple!

Shaista brings

They look fantastic!

We also have a little more behind the scenes fun this time from the Facebook Live broadcast we did:

They’re Growing UP!!!

Now let’s focus on the kids!  We have a couple of photos of the 4 of them being, well…..the 4 of them!  Haha!

First in the traditional clothing…

Shaista brings

And next in some casual gear…. love it!

Shaista brings

So fun!!!  You can tell they were having a blast – being kids but still really well behaved – love them!

And there you have it – when Shaista brings back the whole crew we have a ton of fun.  We hope you enjoyed the sneak peeks from their session!

Double Trouble? Double FUN! Meet Harrison and Henry!

I got a phone call from Carlos looking to set up a photo session on pretty short notice…..for his twin one month old boys!  I knew Ally would be pretty excited since we’ve had plenty of babies in the studio and plenty of twins, but no twin babies!  We had time available the following day which was exactly 30 days from Harrison and Henry’s birth so it seemed like the planets were aligning!  And what a session!  Are twin boys double trouble to photograph?  HECK NO – they’re double FUN!!!

Double Fun with Harrison and Henry!

Carlos and Gina came to the studio well prepared with some monogrammed burp cloths for the boys which we’ll get to.  In the meantime for one month old babies it’s hit or miss on how easy it will be to get them to sleep which always makes for easier posing and photographing.  So with twins this was somewhat unchartered territory!  Indeed, they were not ready to nap when they got here so we had to wait it out a bit….  a little classical music, some low light, some high heat and an hour or two of patience and we were in business!!!  We always block off two hours but allow for cushion on the back end with little babies just in case we need the extra time.  So without further adieu, let’s meet the boys!

We’ll start with the individual shots – first of Henry:

Double Fun

How great is he?

And here’s Harrison…

Double Fun

Okay how awesome is the tongue…!

We also have some fun behind the scenes action for you – first with the replay of the Periscope broadcast – you can join in the fun and follow us on Periscope at @frameablefaces at this link, or you can just check out the broadcasts from twitter here.

And here is an amazing shot from that part of the session that will definitely make you smile….

Double Fun

Caption that one however you like.  🙂

We have one more broadcast replay this time from Facebook Live and this one was shared and liked quite a bit…

We’ll leave you with one more photo from the session with the monogrammed burp cloths from the Facebook broadcast:

Double Fun

Double fun indeed!!!!  Double adorable, double delicious – the list goes on and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with Harrison and Henry!

Nelma and Her Fabulous Fam Represents Frameable Nation In Pensacola!

NELLLLLLLLLMAAAAAA!!!  Okay we need to explain.  We met Nelma through Periscope and we’ve known her for quite some time now.  We both used to host game shows on a network called “Play For Stuff”, were hanging out in the same circles in the Periscope community and we have consequently spent plenty of time in each other’s broadcasts.  Nelma actually named our living room in the studio “the parlor” and one of our couches is named for her too………..and she’s never actually set foot in our studio.  She lives in Pensacola, Florida with her husband Alfie and their adorable daughter Lydia.  That just speaks to the amazing madness that is Periscope, and we have no idea how this piece started but anytime Nelma jumps into one of our broadcasts she’s greeted with “NELLLLLLMAAAAA!!!” by the two of us in unison.

So eventually as we’ve documented here we got the idea to plan a road trip for Spring Break that would include photo sessions since we are asked quite often if we would travel to do them.  The Frameable Faces Spring Tour started to take shape and when we said we were coming south to Florida, Nelma said “sign me up”!  We were so excited to finally meet her and to photograph her family!  We met in downtown Pensacola on the back end of a drive all the way up the state from Del Ray just in time for great light and really nice conditions at Plaza Ferdinand VII in the center of town!

Nelma and Her Fabulous Fam…

Let’s start with a fun pic of the three of them…

Nelma

And how about one of just Nelma and Alfie?

NelmaThey’re awesome.  As delightful in person as we expected!

As usual we have some behind the scenes fun for you – we did a Periscope broadcast and here is the replay!  You can follow us and join in the fun at this link or you can just check it out from Twitter here.

Now let’s talk about sweet little Lydia!  She is 4 and she is such a cutie!

Nelma

So adorable!  And such a little character – we had a lot of fun with her.

Nelma

Love that one!

And that’s the one we’ll leave you with!  Let’s also give a little shout out to check out her online store Beach Baby Couture with custom letter blankets and all sorts of other custom bedding, quilts, clothing – you name it!  We saw her home shop where she makes all of these items – we were really impressed!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time with Nelma and thanks for reading!

Wow – Jeralyn Is ONE, And What A Year It’s Been Photographing Her!

Boy does a year go by fast…  this story is one of the more epic tales in Frameable Faces lore to be sure and we continue to tell it here.  It started with an “emergency” maternity session phone call from Nick and Jen that you can read about here.  Another photography studio’s mistake became the start of a friendship for us and some memorable moments with Jeralyn (who was once known lovingly in the Frameable Faces community as the “sharting baby” because of a hilarious little poop mishap during her newborn session that you can see and read about here)!  Now Jeralyn is ONE and she returned to the studio for an adorable photo session from which we want to share a few images with you!

Jeralyn Is ONE!

So we have some great stuff to show you here.  We love doing “baby plans” where our peeps come in for maternity, newborn, 6 month, and one year photos because we get to be a part of such a wonderful and exciting year, and then at the end we get to put together some stages – like a “watch me grow” storyboard!  Like this:

Jeralyn Is ONE

Newborn, 6 months, and one year!!!

So much fun – perfectly displayed on a wall printed to 10″ x 30″ in a frame!

As for the rest of the one year session here are some of the other highlights…

Jeralyn Is ONE

How beautiful is she?  Loving the hair…  🙂

Jeralyn also likes blocks.  Who doesn’t like blocks?

Jeralyn Is ONE

Actually props in general are fun…

Jeralyn Is ONE

We also have some fun behind the scenes (of course)…  let’s start with the replay from Facebook Live:

At this point we broke out the sari that we used for all three sessions as you saw above in the storyboard – so pretty as the backdrop for this adorable close up!

Jeralyn Is ONE

LOVE the thumb…

What’s great about our Periscope replay is often when people say you should photograph the parents being silly trying to get the kids to smile……well we got Jen at the beginning of this broadcast.  Haha!  If you want to join in the fun on Periscope download the app and follow us at @FrameableFaces here or if you just want to check it out from Twitter you can do that here.

The last thing we’ll leave you with you could say is the coup de grâce from this session…

Jeralyn Is ONE

Just all around cuteness with the one year expressions!  So yes Jeralyn is ONE and it really has been a delightful year photographing her!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights!!!

Special Delivery: Newborn Aubrey’s Arrival Is Truly Awesome!

This was truly a special delivery in more ways than one.  You may recall our “Nikon Girl” Angela’s maternity session here on the blog, and if you’ve been following her story you may already know that Ally was there to photograph the birth of Angela and Cam’s beautiful baby girl Aubrey…  here is the photo essay from our YouTube channel from that amazing day:

6 days later marked Aubrey’s arrival in the studio for her newborn session and it was so special!  We have a few highlights to share!

Special Delivery: Aubrey’s Arrival!

Aubrey was a pro – what do you expect?  She’s the daughter of an amazing photographer!  Lots of pink….  let’s take a look:

Special Delivery

So peaceful – just snoozin’ in the basket…

We also have plenty of behind the scenes from the session – first with the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:

Now let’s take a look at a couple more shots including one more in the basket…

Special Delivery

At this point we changed gears and broke out the pink tutu.  Aubrey did plenty more sleeping which is perfect for a newborn session!  This next photo is a little tricky and requires a couple shots to composite together – it turned out perfectly!

Special Delivery

We also have another live broadcast to share – this time from our show that we do on ParachuteTV1 on Tuesday afternoons at 2 PM EST called “The Photo Shop” on Periscope.  You can follow us on Periscope at @FrameableFaces at this link, or you can (and should) check out the ParachuteTV1 schedule on Periscope at their website – it’s a very cool network with some great shows!

Here we caught a newborn “baby smile” – how precious!!!  We’ll leave you with this one…

Special Delivery

And there you have it – a special delivery indeed and we love miss Aubrey already!!!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of her debut!

Neil Is Back, He’s Two, And He’s Still Pretty Darn Cute!

Neil was pretty darn cute when he was here as a little bitty baby, and – no surprise – he’s still pretty darn cute as a two year old!  He came back to the studio with his minions even though it was him who was dressed as one!  Haha…  Parmesh and Nalini are great – we laugh quite a bit when we’re together here in the studio and we had another winning session this time around with different outfits, plenty of toys and plenty of food too!

Neil Is Pretty Darn Cute…

So let’s start right in with the minion outfit to get right into the cuteness…

Pretty Darn Cute

We also have some fun behind the scenes action from the session with our replay of our live Periscope broadcast!  You can follow us on Periscope at @FrameableFaces at this link to join in the fun or you can also watch from Twitter at this link!

Now let’s get back to a few more photos shall we?

Pretty Darn Cute

Love that one!!!  “Pretty Darn Cute” is pretty darn accurate wouldn’t you say?

Pretty Darn Cute

That’s a happy kid with plenty of toys for the session…..

And how about a family shot to close it out?

Pretty Darn Cute

So fun!!!  So there you have it!  Neil was back and he’s still pretty darn cute.  We hope you enjoyed our highlights of our day with them!

With Sophia We Think We’ll Rename The Age The “Treasured Twos”!

You’ve heard of the “terrible twos”?  Not even close – Sophia is clearly one of the “treasured twos”!!!  So adorable, plenty of personality and a little superstar in front of Ally’s camera when she came to the studio for her photo session with her delightful mom Michele!  We photographed her exclusively indoors here at the studio and we think you’ll melt when you see these photos!

Treasured Twos…

This is evidence for changing the name from terrible to treasured in our opinion and let’s start to prove why with this first photo in a half black and white tone… Treasured Twos

Those eyelashes!

We stayed with this backdrop for a classic look for a few more photos – here’s another:

Treasured Twos

How cute is she?

We also have some behind the scenes fun for you here – we broadcasted a little bit on Periscope as well as Facebook Live.  First let’s start with the Periscope replay.  If you would like to be a part of our broadcasts there you can download the app and follow us at @frameablefaces at this link, and if you prefer just to watch from twitter you can do that too by clicking here

And here is some more behind the scenes from the Facebook Live broadcast!

Now let’s get back to a couple more photos where we changed it up a little with a different backdrop first with our purple settee…

Treasured Twos

And we have one more to share with one of our fun little benches where Sophia is hanging out with a few friends…

Treasured Twos

She was having so much fun!!!  We loved this session with this “treasured two” and we hope you liked the highlights too!

Just Too Much Cuteness To Handle With This Family…

Gotta love a photo shoot with little munchkins!  This fam was a pure delight to photograph at their home – a great way to spend a Saturday morning with so much cuteness!  Everyone did a fantastic job and everyone looked great!  We had a great feeling about this one right away with Jan and Nicole during the consultation since they are a truly delightful couple.  Their youngest was with them for the initial meeting and she was perfectly behaved and the other two were much fun, even showing off some really impressive gymnastic prowess on the trampoline while we were at the house!

Too Much Cuteness…

This session took place entirely on location and the weather was perfect!  There was plenty of green to work with in the backyard so let’s get to it.  We’ll start with a shot of the whole family before we get to some individuals of the girls:

Much Cuteness

Okay how cute are they…?????  And the sass on the little one in that shot is priceless!

Before we look at a few more photos let’s check out some of the fun behind the scenes action of our morning!  First with our 6 second vine with some of the acrobatics I mentioned before!

Next we have the extended replay of the live Periscope broadcast from the session – these are always fun to do where we can share a little of the proceedings in front of a live chat audience who can watch the fun and participate!  If you want to be a part of our broadcasts download the app and follow us at @frameablefaces here or just watch on twitter here.

Okay let’s get to the individual photos of the three princesses!  From oldest to youngest:

Much Cuteness

Love these girls!

Much Cuteness

And the baby…Ally’s camera loved her!

Much Cuteness

We think you would have to agree that there was indeed much cuteness happening on that day and we hope you enjoyed the highlights from the session!

We Are Posting This ‘Cuz We Love Photographing Cousins!

It is so nice when cousins are around the same age and enjoy hanging around with each other, and it makes photographing cousins a joy!  This was definitely the case with the crew we’re about to show you.  We have had half of them (the local half) in the studio before around Halloween time for photos, but the other half live out of town so we hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting them before.  They are a beautiful bunch and they belong to one of our mall neighbors – they are Nancy’s grandchildren from across the hall at Nancy’s Linens!  And talk about prepared kids….they were coordinated nicely with the clothes and they had plenty to say about what photos and poses they had planned for their photo session!  There was even a written out list involved!

Siblings together…

We did this session on location at the house of the “local crew” and we did a few rounds of individual photos, sibling group shots and group shots of the whole squad!  The conditions were just perfect that morning for a photo session.  Let’s start with the siblings…

Photographing Cousins

Sibling crew 1 looks awesome!

Now for sibling crew 2:

Photographing Cousins

So cute!

Photographing Cousins

Now let’s get to a couple of the whole crew…  These kids made the job pretty easy.

Photographing Cousins

The goal here was to have some fun and not get too formal – just to get some photos of kids being kids and cousins being cousins and the swing set was a perfect prop to get everyone into place!  We love this last one we’ll leave you with with the youngest of the group on the oldest’s shoulders….  Everyone looks fantastic!

Photographing Cousins

And there you have it!  We had a blast with these guys and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with them!
