We Were Totally Taken With Tia On Her Senior Picture Session!

We were totally taken with Tia indeed on her senior session.  From the moment she came to the studio in a whirlwind with her mom Ban we were impressed.  Sharp, mature, personable, beautiful – the whole package!  They found us with a Google search, called, came right over, and less than a week later we were taking pictures!  It all happened very fast and it just worked – we connected.

We started in the studio with a few outfits and backgrounds before we headed out on location to Birmingham accompanied by Ban and Tia’s older sis Tara who did Tia’s makeup!  We’ll start with the studio photos first:

Mad About Marie And Her Wonderful Senior Session!

We’ve been mad about Marie for a long time now.  From the time she joined her older twin sisters on their session for a few photos a couple years ago to her spokesmodel session earlier this year and now culminating with her own senior session in Birmingham, we’ve been fans from day one!  We planned a total city photo shoot in Birmingham with her and she really nailed it – not that we were surprised.  She’s a real pro and so yeah, we’re mad about Marie!!!

We started at the top (of a parking structure) and worked our way down, and we had great conditions even getting a few well timed breezes before the storms came in.  We’ll start on the parking structure here:

At this point we headed over to Quarton Lake because we liked the light we had and we knew a storm might roll on in…  It was a good move – this photo is perfect!

Marveling At Marie And Her Spokesmodel Session!

Marveling at Marie is something we started doing a couple years ago when she came along with her older twin sisters Kristen and Katherine on their senior session from the class of 2015.  We had our eye on her back then to be a spokesmodel when it was her turn, and now sure enough here she is!  Such beautiful girls and a beautiful mom too!  Marie’s mom Marilyn is one of our faves as well, so we were excited to get them in here and we can’t wait to have them back for Marie’s senior pictures too!  But first things first, let’s take a look at a few different colors and outfits that Marie rocked here in the studio for her spokesmodel session…

This was a total in-studio session where we could play around with a few different backdrops and for the highlights we’ll start with the grey fabric.  We love this look and haven’t used it a ton yet…

Love the way the peach blends into it and Marie looks amazing!

Meanwhile we gave our Snapchat geofilter another whirl on this day – it was a pretty big day for the studio since we did a “Snapchat swap” with one of our Periscope friends Chris Strub where he took over our account and vice versa.  Here is a clip from our snap story from the day with our logo geofilter at the bottom and Marilyn chillin’ in the background which Marie comically points out…  haha!!!

Next we have a photo from the red background and this is a cool little “room” setup with one of our vintage chairs, the moulding and the floor…

O Juliet We Just Love Your Senior Session!

O Juliet we just LOVE your senior session!  That’s the truth.  We had amazing fall colors, a new outdoor prop we never used before, a great girl and a great mom and our results speak for themselves.  Juliet is a sweetheart and a really impressive girl with big plans and a clear head on her shoulders.  We can’t wait to see what she is going to accomplish with her life!  But for now let’s focus on the wonderful morning we spent with her!

We started on location where the fall colors were at their absolute peak – just look at this wall of color, and we love Juliet in the maroon dress – she looks beautiful, confident and content here.

We spent a little more time in the natural setting but we also got some really cool urban photos – and then the studio shots are amazing too….  We want to get to all of that so let’s move on.  🙂  Our next photo is just a fun engaging photo of Juliet on some steps which we think brings out her personality.

Now we’ll take a look at the spot we hadn’t used.  This outdoor “prop/barrel/tube thing” looks so cool in black and white – love this.  We’ll call it “senior in a circle” haha!

Lastly we headed back to the studio where we went with our black and blowy set up and we have to say that Juliet nailed this shot.  Like it was made for her – so dramatic and pretty!

And that concludes our highlights of this session, even though we could have easily kept going – no shortage of amazing photos of this girl from that morning…  We hope you enjoyed them!

 

Kristen And Katherine – Double The Senior Fun!

Once in a while we have the pleasure of photographing twin seniors together and this was only the second time we have ever photographed twin girls.  Kristen and Katherine were a delight!  As twins they are alike in some ways but at the same time in many ways they are completely different.  One thing is for sure though and that is they are equally fun!  We spent an entire afternoon with them and we had a fantastic time.  Their mom is wonderful and even little sister got into a photo or two but those are for another time – this day the focus was on our senior twins and their own unique individual personalities!

Let’s start with Katherine.  With both girls we started out in the studio and while we shared some backgrounds and some locations we also kept a lot of it separate so each of the girls could have their own session.  Here is Katherine with our damask background:

Class of 2014 Spokesmodel Party!

This year’s third annual spokesmodel party was a blast!  It’s definitely one of our favorite days of the year and the culmination of the planning, photographing, and getting to know our newest team!  Some of them we’ve known for years and some we’re just getting to know.  We’ve become very fond of each and every one of these seniors-to-be and to have them all at the studio wearing their Frameable Faces T-Shirts and hanging together is as good as it gets for us!

Just like last year we began the festivities with the debut of the new spokesmodel video with behind the scenes clips from the photo sessions and even a fun outtake at the end:

We then had dinner, and this year we had it catered by Pine Lake Market in Keego Harbor – the food was fantastic!  Then in keeping with tradition we ate Just Baked cupcakes.  Soooo good.

Then we took some photos.  Everyone had picked up their t-shirts and spokesmodel cards which were laid out on the table when they arrived, and we took some team pictures first.

Then it was everyone’s turn to do individual shots for the mural that goes in our window for the upcoming year which is always a lot of fun.  Look for that in about a month in our window and on Facebook.  There are actually some traditions within the murals emerging – like who will be the “jumpy girl”, who will be eating a Just Baked cupcake, which boy will be flexing his muscles, and who will do something that has not been done before?

All in all it was a great night and as we’ve said before, a great group of kids.
