Frameable Flashbacks! – Fahad

We received an unexpected visit from one of our seniors from the class of 2011!  Fahad is quite the entrepreneur and he was the first senior we photographed with an SUV and it was a very cool session!  Fahad is quite a go getter – a very entrepreneurial young man and we thought we would catch up with him in our latest “Frameable Flashback”!

Frameable Faces: Fahad you have a lot going on these days – what’s been happening?

Fahad: I am going to school full time & running three businesses. A fundraising company, home health care and a coffee business.

Frameable Faces: What are your goals for the future?

Fahad: My goals for the future are to get my MBA before I turn 24 and own 10 businesses before I turn 26.

Frameable Faces: What do you remember about your Frameable Faces photo session?

Fahad: I remember doing the photo shoot by the lake.  It was a lot of fun!  I loved the fact that Ally worked with me throughout everything.  She did the shots I was happy with even though it took us a while.  I would recommend Frameable Faces to all of my friends!

Class of 2014 Senior Spokesmodels Part 3 – Guys Edition!

Here come the guys….!  These two young men complete our roster of spokesmodels from the upcoming class of 2014.  We are really impressed with both of them and they both happen to be North Farmington Raiders just like us!  Pretty soon we will have all 12 spokesmodels together to create our new mural for the window of the studio which is always a lot of fun for us.  These two sessions were both fantastic!  Enjoy!

Frameable Faces High School BFF Mini Sessions!

We have done BFF (“Best Friends Forever” for those who aren’t down with the lingo) sessions before, but we have had a couple of specific requests lately that compelled us to come up with an option for graduating seniors.

High School BFF Mini Sessions

The Details:

  • One hour booked (approximately 15 minutes of shooting)
  • Two friends (standard package – an additional friend can be added for a fee)
  • One backdrop and one outfit
  • 5 low res files on a disc – duplicate copy for each friend
  • 2 prints (same pose – must be from the pool of 5 selected images – one for each friend 8×10 or smaller)
  • Additional files/prints available for additional cost
  • Total package $250

The shoot takes about 15 minutes, the images can be uploaded, selected, slightly retouched and burned to a disc on the spot.  The whole process is completed in an hour.  The prints are ordered during this time and take up to two weeks to arrive.

Perfect Graduation Gift

When two best friends leave and go their separate ways to different colleges this can be a great way to make the separation a little easier by having a nice professional photo framed on a dresser in a dorm room and an extra few professional shots on a smartphone, tablet or laptop.  It works great for two seniors, or as in the case of our awesome models shown here (they are two of our all time favorite #frameables) one senior who is leaving and a younger BFF who still has some high school to go…    We have had seniors do BFF sessions for their senior pictures and we will continue to do that – our regular senior sessions are up to 3 hours so when BFFs do them they both pay for their session and we block off up to 6 hours to do plenty separate and together with locations, outfit changes – the whole experience.  This is a simpler option for two friends to do towards the end of their senior year or during the summer before they leave just as a nice memento to take with them.  Take a look at a few ideas with our models below!

Class of 2014 Senior Spokesmodels Part 1!!!

We are excited to present a two part series of images of our new class of 2014 high school senior spokesmodels!  We couldn’t be happier with this wonderful group of young ladies and are very proud to have them representing Frameable Faces Photography for this upcoming school year!  Some of them we have just met recently and some we’ve known much longer – it’s hard to believe they will be seniors in a few short months!

The Frameable Faces 2013 Campus Tour Continues at U of M!!!

And so the campus tour rolled along…  this time into Ann Arbor to see a couple of our favorite Frameable Wolverines!  The cold front was just moving in and the weather was bitter cold but we didn’t let that stop the fun……or the FOOD!  Shocking we know….    🙂

The Frameable Faces Campus Tour checks in at Pizza House!

The Frameable Faces Campus Tour checks in at Pizza House!

Nicole and Cheyenne met us at Pizza House – one of the most popular spots on campus and home of the best chipatis you’ll find anywhere.  A chipati is a yummy salad wrapped in yummy and warm chipati bread served with chipati sauce.  The pizza and garlic bread rocks as well – actually pretty much everything is good at Pizza House…  It was a historic MLK day with this year marking the 50th anniversary of the “I Have A Dream” speech and it was also inauguration day.  The girls didn’t have classes and we were able to relax and catch up for a couple hours in the late afternoon for an early dinner.

In keeping with the theme established in East Lansing, we took a stroll over to Insomnia Cookies for dessert…  and we can only say that it’s a good thing there isn’t one of these in West Bloomfield.  It’s dangerous enough with a Just Baked right across the street from the studio (YUM), but late night cookie delivery could be a big problem.  🙂

Insomnia Cookies

Yet again at Insomnia Cookies.... So goood...

Another fun trip with two of our Frameables who are also responsible for two of our greatest images ever – Nicole standing in the water with the beautiful orange sunset many of you have seen and the stunning image of Cheyenne printed on the big beautiful plexiglass which still hangs in the studio.  We love our Frameable Seniors and we love to share in their successes as they enjoy their college experience!

The Frameable Faces 2013 Campus Tour! First stop… MSU!

We have been saying for a long time that it would be fun to visit our seniors when they go away to college, so this year we launched the first annual Frameable Faces Campus Tour! We started out with a trip to East Lansing to visit our Frameable Spartans, and we had a great time!

Frameables at "El Az"!

As usual this get together centered around food.  We arrived on campus and picked up Lainie, Jessica, and Chelsea at their apartments/dorms and headed over to El Azteco which is a Mexican dining favorite at Michigan State for the famous Topopo Salad.  We had lots of laughs and it was great to catch up!  If you enjoy a good salad and you haven’t had one of these you are missing out….

We then walked a few blocks over to Insomnia Cookies – one of the best concepts ever.  Cookies served warm and even delivered until 2:45 AM – wish we would have had this when we were in college….

The Insomnia Cookies didn't last long...

Each one of these girls were responsible for some our best “iconic” shots of all time – Lainie actually IN the water with a dress on, Jessica in the snow in a white dress, and Chelsea on the pink background on a huge canvas that hung in our studio for a long time.  Three of our all time favorites!  All in all it was a great night and we hope to do this every year!  Next stop, Ann Arbor….!

Frameable Flashbacks! – Chelsea

Welcome to our second edition of Frameable Flashbacks!  This is where we celebrate and check in with our former high school seniors to see what they are up to – sort of our version of “where are they now?”  The first one we did with Hannah Iwrey was a lot of fun, and now we check in with West Bloomfield High School Class of 2011 graduate Chelsea Cage!

One of Chelsea's senior pictures

Chelsea brought us her older brother Chad for his senior pics when she was a junior and we recruited her to be a spokesmodel.  She has been a huge part of our studio and of our lives over the past few years.  She literally helped lay the foundation here and rarely do you get a chance to meet someone as beautiful inside and out as Chelsea – she is the genuine article and she is like family to us!  We love when she comes back to visit and this time we snapped a couple of quick shots including one of her holding her canvas that used to hang on the wall of the studio.

Chelsea with....Chelsea!

Here’s what she had to say:

Frameable Faces:  So what are you up to?

Chelsea:  I’m currently studying at Michigan State University, and I love being a Spartan!!!  I’m a teaching assistant, and I’m the publicity chair of the National Association of Black Accountants (MSU Chapter).

Frameable Faces:  What are your future plans with your studies (what do you want to be when you grow up)?
Chelsea:  I want to go into business; either accounting or supply chain management. I want to work for a Fortune 500 company.

West Bloomfield Photographer, Frameable Faces Photography

Chelsea and Doug catch up!

Frameable Faces:  What do you remember most about your Frameable Faces experience?
Chelsea:  What I love most about my Frameable Faces is the relationship I built with Doug and Ally :-).  It’s nice to know that I’m always welcome to stop by the studio and hang out!  And having my picture in the window for a year was pretty cool!

Another beautiful shot from Chelsea's senior session!

Should You Take Photos In The Snow…..?

Going outside during the winter in the cold and snow to take photos isn’t always on everyone’s priority list, but think about it – a snowy backdrop can be beautiful!  Sure you may have to be cold for a little bit but the results are often worth it.

Well “thankfully” as of this writing it is December 21, 2012, the world is still here, and along with the continued existence of the world we have the existence of (a little) snow here in Michigan for the first time this winter!  This is what got us thinking about the snow and we have indeed had some fun photo sessions in the snow over the years so we thought in honor of old man winter we would post a few together!

So, should you take photos in the snow?  YES!!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow……

Class of 2013 Frameables! Part 3!

The spectacular class of 2013 continues!  Fall has given way to winter but the fall colors lingered in some cases for longer than we thought.  We still have a few on tap and maybe we’ll get some good snowy scenes, but for now here is the latest round of young inspiring frameables who mean so much to us!  Before we know it they’ll be graduating, moving on and we’ll be photographing the class of 2014!
