We Had A Double Eagle Of A Senior Session With Sheldon!

A double eagle is rare in golf and it’s a truly excellent result, so we’re going to score our senior session with Sheldon this way!  It was EPIC.  Besides, we’ve known Sheldon since kindergarten when he and our Tony were in class together so this was another surreal session for us.

Double Eagle With Sheldon…

Sheldon’s dad Eric joined us and we had much fun and a great game plan.  We started in the studio with some fire with Sheldon’s clubs and his shoes!  We’ll highlight one of those to start with:

Double Eagle

Sweeeeeet….

We also have some fun behind the scenes action for you first from the Facebook Live broadcast we did in the studio:

At this point we headed out – first for a stop at the house to get a photo with the pups!

Double Eagle

Haha!!!  That’s a fun one.

We then headed over to Franklin Hills for a few photos on the golf course – what a great setting!  Sheldon is on the golf team at Roeper High and you can just see the focus in his swing here!

Double Eagle

Fore!!!

We have some more behind the scenes too from the Instagram Live for the last outfit change we’ll show here:

And the result….
Double Eagle
Great one to finish with!  A double eagle session with Sheldon indeed!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Showing Off Some Senior Pics – Yes We Are Brandishing Brandon!

To brandish is “to wave or flourish (a weapon) in a triumphant, threatening, or ostentatious way” and in this case we are brandishing Brandon – his senior photos that is, because Ally’s “weapon” is a Canon 5D Mark III, the photos are awesome, and so that does make this indeed a “triumph”!  At least we think so…  Haha!

We photographed Brandon’s sister Lindsey for her senior session a couple years ago (not to mention for years before that for her dance photos) and we’ve known Brandon for a few years so we were happy to get the call from his mom Michelle that they were returning!  Brandon is a great kid – soft spoken but driven and we enjoyed being with him a lot!  So let’s get to the photos…!

Brandishing Brandon

We started out in the studio on the black background and this first photo is great in black and white!

Brandishing Brandon

So cool…

We also have some behind the scenes action for you – here is the replay of our studio broadcast on Periscope – if you want to be a part of our live broadcasts there you can download the app and follow us at @frameablefaces at this link, and if you prefer to just watch from twitter you can do that here.

Now let’s continue to our location photos in Birmingham where we got some natural photos and some city photos – we’ll start with the natural setting…

Brandishing Brandon

There was a little chill in the air on this day but overall the conditions were fine and the lighting was great…  We broadcasted a little more at this spot, this time on Facebook Live, and it was around this time that Michelle had to run back to the van to get something – she had a little trouble with the car alarm and she caused a bit of a ruckus… haha!!!

One more by the stream…

Brandishing Brandon

Awesome!

At this point we headed over to downtown Birmingham to get some brick and textures where we captured this close up:

Brandishing Brandon

And there it is – brandishing Brandon – triumphantly as the definition suggests!  We think his session rocked and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Noah Was A Natural In Front Of The Camera!

Noah came to the studio with his mom and he is the second senior guy in a row that we’ve posted about who had their mom on the session and has a great relationship with her.  Now that’s not to say moms who don’t come have less than great relationships – actually only about half of the moms come to the sessions and that is totally fine!  But this is a case that it’s bears mentioning that Noah and his mom were really sweet together and mom Susan even jumped in for a portrait with her baby!  And yeah okay, so what if that embarrasses Noah just a little – we’re guessing it doesn’t because he’s such a good kid.

Noah was a natural…

So this session took place in the studio and yeah Noah was a natural in front of the camera – easy to work with and comfortable posing for portraits.  We started right out with some fire!  We love setting stuff on fire, in this case a basketball since Noah plays for Roeper High School.  Check it out:

Noah

Fierce!  Ally got some of Noah’s cool intensity with that photo.

Next we had Noah put on the letter jacket which is always a good shot.  School pride baby – with a little bling to boot…

Noah

Cool right?

Okay before we switch up the backgrounds let’s take a look at some of our behind the scenes action from the session.  First with our 6 second looping Vine:

Next let’s take a look at the replay of our Periscope broadcast from our YouTube channel.  If you haven’t downloaded Periscope yet you can do it and follow us at @frameablefaces here.

Okay now let’s switch to the white background for a couple more photos before we wrap it up:

Noah

And now for Noah and his mom Susan!  🙂

Noah

So cute!  Okay that will do it for now with Noah – a total natural indeed!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time with him!

Awestruck By Akwia And Her Awesome Senior Photos!

Awestruck by Akwia is how we felt on the day of her session – softspoken and sweet, athletic and beautiful – she’s got the whole package!  We had a great time hanging out with her as well as her mom and her pup Sophie!  Just a great session overall and we are excited to share a few sneak peeks with you!

Awestruck By Akwia…

We started out on location over by the West Bloomfield Library – one of our favorite spots for natural beauty (not to mention a great library as a side note) and the fall colors were in full swing.  We’ll start on a trail where you’ll see a nice pop of “Pure Michigan” orange in the distance to compliment Akwia in this lovely red dress.

Awestruck

Beautiful!

Before we look at more photos let’s take a look at our fun behind the scenes footage from our day.  First we have our fun 6 second looping Vine where you’ll see Sophie getting into the action and a little studio fire:

Next we have the extended replays of our Periscope broadcasts from the session for those who want to see a little more behind the scenes.  They are linked together (location and studio).  If you still haven’t downloaded Periscope you can follow us at @frameablefaces and do so at this link.

Okay now let’s get back to the photos including this one with Akwia and Sophie!

Awestruck

Fun!

Back To The Studio…

Let’s now head back to the studio where we “turned the heat up” with a little fire in a photo that provides a little contrast of the glamour and the grit!

Awestruck

And now we’ll leave you with more of a close up that is just simply Akwia and we love it!

Awestruck

And there it is – you can now see why we are awestruck right?  Congrats to Akwia – she rocked this session and we hope you all enjoyed the highlights!

Kicking It Up A Notch With Noah!

Kicking it up a notch with Noah is what we did on his senior session!  This was just a cool and fun afternoon on a number of levels.  For starters it always helps when our senior is fun to be around and Noah is a neat guy – he was totally game for anything and his dad came along for the session which is relatively rare.  It would be cool if more dads came on senior sessions with their sons because this day just felt like a fun hangout with the guys!  Another reason this session was kicked up a notch was the exploring we did at Heritage Park – we didn’t realize how far back some of those trails go and we hit a few new spots (and outdoor props).  So without further adieu…

We started on location in the early afternoon because of a potential storm coming, where we got this shot against the silo early on…

Kicking It Up A Notch

Next we used a farm wagon that was just asking to be used which made for a couple of nice shots.  We hadn’t used it before so it’s now “Noah’s wagon” as long as it’s there!  This shot is a close crop of our guy so it focuses on him but the wagon provides a nice backdrop on this one.

Kicking It Up A Notch

Next we went off exploring a bit and found a cool little bridge that we really like:

Kicking It Up A Notch

Here is our fun behind the scenes vine of the afternoon:

Then it was time to head back to the studio to get a little work done indoors.  The forecast proved correct as a major storm hit right after we got back and the power went out.  We thought the session might be over right then and there but the power came back in a couple minutes and we kept going!   Ally always photographs everything in color but sometimes a photo just looks cool in black and white and sometimes Ally just knows when she sees it – like this one…

Kicking It Up A Notch

Nice huh?  We were glad to “hang with the boys” and kick it up a notch with Noah!
