A Satisfyingly Stupendous Senior Session With Samantha!

Satisfyingly Stupendous?  Yep.  Samantha’s senior session was a winner and when the Franklin Cider Mill is involved it’s a scrumptious one too!  We had a lot of fun on this one – Samantha’s whole fam joined and everyone had a good time!  As for Samantha herself we’re fans.  She’s adorable, smart, fun, nice – all the things.  So let’s get to a few highlights shall we?

Satisfyingly Stupendous with Samantha

We started in the studio for a few pics first:

Satisfyingly Stupendous

Love that in black and white…

Next we headed to the Cider Mill (the best one in town) for a few cool spots like this one, and we also want to give a shoutout to Yasmine at Mandy Rose for Samantha’s makeup:

Satisfyingly Stupendous

Gorgeous.

We also have some fun behind the scenes first from Facebook:

We headed down the street at this point for a few other spots like this gazebo:

Satisfyingly Stupendous

Wow right?

We played around with some smoke too – here’s the Instagram video:

Bring On Blake! Our latest Class of 2020 Senior Spokesmodel!

Let’s bring on Blake!!!  Blake is our newest spokesmodel for the class of 2020 representing the Birmingham Groves Falcons!  We actually met Blake and his mom Ellory officially together for the first time on a face time call and we laughed a lot even with Blake being a little under the weather at the time so we knew this would work.  We are running close to the end of the junior year so we were happy to luck out and get great weather to get a session in with some location photos at the Franklin Cider Mill, but we also started with some photos in the studio so we’ll begin with those:

Bring On Blake…

We kept these simple on the black backdrop and we’ll show one in color here….

Blake
….and one in black and white!

Blake
Blake was a piece of cake to photograph – Ally commented that he’s a natural – a photogenic dude!

We also have some fun behind the scenes action first from Facebook Live:

At this point we headed over to the Franklin Cider Mill which is actually a great place for pictures when it’s off season – such a classic place and they were very happy to let us take photos there when we asked them permission a few years back.  It’s very typical for our seniors to do a combination of studio and on location images…

Blake

Love this shot…

We have another behind the scenes vid – this time with the raw feed from our Instagram livestream:

And we’ll leave you with this one at the tree that we really like:

Blake

And there you have it – Blake BROUGHT it!!!  Good kid – we’re happy to have him and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Checking Back In With Tori For A Fall Senior Session At The Cider Mill!

A couple times per year we have a senior who requests a session at the Franklin Cider Mill where you can find the yummiest cider and the yummiest donuts!  It’s a tradition for many around here in Metro Detroit at this time of year, and having fun with Tori and her mom Lora also has been a recurring theme itself this year since we had an epic spokesmodel session last time in Pontiac!  We knew this one would be awesome too!

Tori At The Cider Mill…

We’ll focus on the photos from Franklin here, starting with this one of Tori showing off a little ‘tude in the best way!

Cider Mill

One of our faves for sure!

We also have some fun behind the scenes from our day with the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast!

At this point we changed outfits and Tori rocked her new Montcler hat – Tori always rocks the hats!

Cider Mill

So CUTE!

Oh and how about this one…. a playful image with those awesome donuts we mentioned earlier…

Cider Mill

She is adorable.

We’ll leave you with one more with a little pop of flowery color…

Cider Mill

And there you have it – what a great day at the cider mill!  Love the results and we love Tori!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day!

Mason Makes It Happen On His Senior Picture Session!

Mason definitely made it happen on his senior session – and it wasn’t his first one.  Okay well it was his first one that was his senior session but he came along on his brother Reed’s session a year ago so he knew what to expect and he was ready to roll.  What a great kid – the kind of kid you can look at him a certain way and get him laughing and then everyone is laughing.  We had a lot of fun and mom Tracie and dad Brent joined again and we’ve known them for decades.  Brent is one of the few really cool people I met back in my corporate days who I’ve remained friends with and the whole family is great.

Mason Makes It Happen

So with Mason the plan was to head over to the Franklin Cider Mill to get some location photos – always a great spot and we’ll start there:

Mason

Looking great!  The conditions were fantastic too as you can see with that great backlight!

We also have some fun behind the scenes action for you first with the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:

And one more up close and personal with our guy before we head back to the studio:

Mason

Stud!!!

At this point we headed back to the studio to get a few more starting with this one…

Mason

How great is the bow tie?  More seniors should wear these…. just sayin’

Here’s another behind the scenes replay – this time from YouTube Live:

And we’ll finish with one more casual shot from the studio:

Mason

And there you have it – Mason made it happen for sure, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Bringing BAE Back With Bayley Because She’s So Darn Cute!

“BAE” is an acronym/term that is kinda so 2013… and yet we think it’s appropriate to bring it back for this girl for a couple reasons.  For starters her name is BAY-ley, and while she’s not our one and only BAE per se (see what I did there), she is in fact really cute and fun and we fell in love with her (and her mom) the minute they came to the studio.  Actually Bayley came by the studio on her own to set up the meeting to discuss her senior portraits and we were impressed from the start.  So as a general term of endearment we’re running with it – Bay is BAE.  #sorrynotsorry

Bringing BAE Back…

Meanwhile our plan for Bayley’s session took us to Franklin for the second time for the class of 2016.  First to the Franklin Cider Mill and then to a park in Franklin where we found a couple new little treasures.  Just a great day – but before we get to the location photos let’s start in the studio with one photo on the black background.

Bringing BAE Back

Love it!

Now before we head to our location photos we’ll take a look at our fun behind the scenes action from our day – first with a six second looping vine:

Next we have our extended YouTube replay from our live Periscope broadcasts which included Bayley’s mom Kim doing a little guest hosting!  She was awesome!  If you still haven’t downloaded Periscope you can get it and follow us at @frameablefaces at this link:

To Franklin

Meanwhile Bayley’s crew – her entourage – showed up for the last part of her studio photos and they met us in Franklin to be Bayley’s cheering section at the cider mill where we got this great photo of Bayley on one of the bridges there:

Bringing BAE Back

Next we headed to the park and found a little barn there that we hadn’t used before…

Bringing BAE Back

Lastly Bayley broke out her guitar for the end of the session where we grabbed this photo of her relaxing in this little field:

Bringing BAE Back

And there you have it!  We had a great time “bringing BAE back” with Bayley!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Now Appearing…..Erin!

Erin is another one of our class of 2014 spokesmodels and boy is she a drama queen – as in a fantastically talented stage actor!!!  Anyone who saw her in the stage adaptation of Ragtime last year as Evelyn Nesbit at West Bloomfield High School saw that she nearly stole the show, and this year she will be taking on the role of Scout in To Kill A Mockingbird.  We are so excited for her and cannot wait to see her performance!

High School Senior Portraits

Erin’s spokesmodel session back in March took place exclusively in the studio so we spent the whole evening for her senior session on location starting at the Franklin Cider Mill.  Such a classic locale!

High School Senior Portrait

Next we set out to capture some cityscapes…

Erin’s session proved to include an exquisite flair for the dramatic which you will see in these images as she stepped out into the night.  We used our new Westcott Ice Light for some dramatic lighting after the sun went down (we like to call this powerful little piece of equipment the “light saber”) and as a side note for you photographers Ally will be featured as a guest blogger on MCP Actions with a 2 part tutorial on tips for using the Ice Light soon!  So, as we set out with our “light saber” and while the International Space Station floated across the night sky above us there was some serious beauty going on down here on Earth!

High School Senior PortraitHigh School Senior Portraits

The sky, the moon, the sun and the stars are the limit for this girl – we think she’s destined to be a star herself!  We’ll just be happy to say “we knew her when…”  🙂

No sibling rivalry here!

Not sure these guys could’ve been any sweeter! They truly love each other and as a mom of an older daughter and a younger son, this was HOPEFULLY a glimpse of things to come. H and M were so happy together – like best friends! A true gift that every parent dreams of!

H was a total trooper! She was completely into the photo session and put on a great smile even though it was absolutely FREEZING outside! I think that even if we had her in the water, she would have had the same gorgeous smile on her face. She was like working with a true professional and I loved every moment of it!

Frameable Faces Photography

Sitting pretty at one of the most beautiful locations!

M is absolutely adorable. His freckles were AWESOME and he has this great infectious personality!A very genuine person, very warm, friendly and was willing to do just about anything I asked him to do! He didn’t even put up much of a fight when I asked him to plant a kiss on his big sister’s cheek for a photo. Super sweetie!!!

Frameable Faces Photography

Such a cool guy!

Add in two amazing locations, and I think that’s a recipe for an exceptional photo session. These two kids were a complete and total pleasure to work with. Great kids, warm (personality, not outside!!!) kids, and NICE kids!Way to go Mom!!! H and M, you guys were the best! Thanks so much for a super fun afternoon!!! Can’t wait to show you the rest!xoxo,Ally
