It is time to share a spectacular senior session where Emily embraces her inner (and outer) awesome! The younger sister of one of our former seniors Alayna, we were excited to get the call that she was coming to the studio! Emily recently returned from Oregon for her senior year and her mom Krista, Alayna, and her BFF all came along – we’ll call them “Emily’s Entourage” haha! Meanwhile what a great girl – and that’s why I chose “inner awesome” just because we really like these girls – just nice sweet people! Our conditions for a location session in Birmingham were exceptional and the session followed suit! So let’s get to the photos!

It’s the inner awesome that allows the true beauty to come out and be captured by Ally’s camera and you will see plenty of that starting with this first photo of Emily by Quarton Lake!

Blake Is A Bad Dude And He Brought It On His Senior Photo Session!

Blake is a bad dude and what a senior session we had with him! As for him being a bad dude let me explain… We’ve known Blake and his mom for a bit and our son Tony actually was on the swimming team with Blake in middle school – even back then Blake was blowing people out of the pool. He’s a heck of an athlete. But part of being a bad dude is also being nice to your mom and Blake appears to have a great relationship with his mom Carol who joined us. He’s just a mild mannered enjoyable guy to be around! He plays guitar too so he is really well rounded. Overall those are the things that make him a bad dude!

First to Pontiac…

Blake was really prepared with the style – Ally loves pink shirts on guys and he had his letter jacket, a formal look, and his guitar too. We had a great game plan to head to Pontiac and get some edgy shots and that’s what we did first so we will start there:

We Are Posting This ‘Cuz We Love Photographing Cousins!

It is so nice when cousins are around the same age and enjoy hanging around with each other, and it makes photographing cousins a joy! This was definitely the case with the crew we’re about to show you. We have had half of them (the local half) in the studio before around Halloween time for photos, but the other half live out of town so we hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting them before. They are a beautiful bunch and they belong to one of our mall neighbors – they are Nancy’s grandchildren from across the hall at Nancy’s Linens! And talk about prepared kids….they were coordinated nicely with the clothes and they had plenty to say about what photos and poses they had planned for their photo session! There was even a written out list involved!

We did this session on location at the house of the “local crew” and we did a few rounds of individual photos, sibling group shots and group shots of the whole squad! The conditions were just perfect that morning for a photo session. Let’s start with the siblings…

The goal here was to have some fun and not get too formal – just to get some photos of kids being kids and cousins being cousins and the swing set was a perfect prop to get everyone into place! We love this last one we’ll leave you with with the youngest of the group on the oldest’s shoulders…. Everyone looks fantastic!

MAXing Out Some Senior Pictures In A MAXimum Way – With Max!

Max is a legacy here at Frameable Faces – the third and final senior sibling from this fam and thus, the end of an era… But nothing to be sad about! Senior pictures always represent new horizons and exciting futures and that’s what we’re celebrating here! We love Max’s mom Stacey and she joined us on this location session for Max where we did some “MAXing out” for sure. And hey we had some fun along the way!

MAXing Out…

This session was relatively short and sweet but we got a lot accomplished without traveling too far – the West Bloomfield library to be exact where there are some really nice trails and a little brick to use over by city hall as well. The conditions were perfect and so off we go with the highlights!

As you can see we started out with a little brick and sidewalk for this chill shot. Max is lookin’ good!

Next we headed over to the trails to get some more natural settings, starting with Max on the park bench with the hoodie… dig it.

We Took Over Detroit With Reed On His Senior Session!

We have spent more time in Detroit this year than ever before and that’s not by accident. Detroit has been roaring back with a comeback like we’ve never seen in our lifetime and many seniors want to have their sessions in the city. We have become familiar with some great spots and we are still discovering new ones all the time making for some awesome outings! Reed’s session was no exception and he’s the second guy from this family Ally has had in front of her camera!

Family Affair…

Reed’s parents Brent and Tracie came along for the day as did his younger brother Mason. Brent and I worked together back in my corporate days so we go pretty far back – about 20 years to be exact! So this was a fun opportunity to hang out together for a day – it turned out to be somewhat of a wild and wacky session complete with wipeouts and a traveling party that got involved (more on that later) and the weather even cooperated despite a shaky forecast! So let’s get to it. But first a studio shot before we head downtown…

Our first stop was on Belle Isle which is definitely becoming one of our favorite spots. Love this view of the skyline behind our guy!

Now here is where it gets a little crazy! Hehe…

This next Periscope replay you’ll see where this merry band of travelers came pedaling by Comerica park where we were setting up to get a photo in front of one of the Tiger statues. Brent went to grab my iPhone but like a botched track and field relay the handoff failed and Brent went down trying to save it… I guess I should have known this broadcast was pegged for madness when I somehow started the broadcast without the title pasted in. “Untitled” is probably appropriate. Ha!
