When Should You Promote A Facebook Post? A Case Study

This is really a follow up post to “Restoring History” which focused on photo restoration.  Here is a little social media strategy discussion – as of this writing the strategy for the “Restoring History” post is in a test mode as we speak, and hopefully we can get some results we can learn from as we go along…. The Option To Promote A Facebook Post For those who may not know, Facebook rolled out a new tool a few months […]

Photo Restoration – Restoring Vietnam War History

Sometimes photo restoration can be just as rewarding as creating a new photo.  Mike is a client who brought in an incredible photo that was damaged, creased and tattered to see if we could fix it.  You can see the results below and after learning that this was what Mike called home while serving our country in Vietnam we can only imagine what this photo means to him.  Actually I’m sure that most of us cannot imagine it, but you can […]

What A Fun Way To Spend A Holiday! Part 2!!!

Yesterday we posted some peaks from a family session we did on Christmas day and we mentioned that it was one of two families we photographed that day, and to stay tuned for the other one….   Well here is the other one – this is “part two” of What A Fun Way To Spend A Holiday!                                 We couldn’t have asked for better back […]

What A Fun Way To Spend A Holiday!

This was a fantastic session and it took place on Christmas day!  The funny thing is when we tell people that we were shooting on Christmas day their first reaction is confusion – “Really?”…  “On Christmas?”  But think about it – everyone is together, everyone is happy (right?) and what better way to celebrate family on an important day than to take pictures together?                                 […]

Frameable Flashbacks! – Chelsea

Welcome to our second edition of Frameable Flashbacks!  This is where we celebrate and check in with our former high school seniors to see what they are up to – sort of our version of “where are they now?”  The first one we did with Hannah Iwrey was a lot of fun, and now we check in with West Bloomfield High School Class of 2011 graduate Chelsea Cage! Chelsea brought us her older brother Chad for his senior pics when […]

Another Frameable Family Of Four!

We had a great time with this family!  We didn’t know them before they came to our studio but found out we have mutual friends – this seems to happen quite a bit!  What a couple of great kids – handsome boys and lots of fun!  Things got a little crazy in here with jumping photos and everyone got into the act, but for now we’ll spare them the publishing of those for mass consumption – lol!  Meanwhile enjoy these […]

“Frameables In The Hood”

Yo – this family is soooo GANGSTA.  Be intimidated.  Be very intimidated….. We have a lot of fun with them because every year they come in with a new fun theme and this year was no different!  We were cracking up during this session!

Should You Take Photos In The Snow…..?

Going outside during the winter in the cold and snow to take photos isn’t always on everyone’s priority list, but think about it – a snowy backdrop can be beautiful!  Sure you may have to be cold for a little bit but the results are often worth it. Well “thankfully” as of this writing it is December 21, 2012, the world is still here, and along with the continued existence of the world we have the existence of (a little) […]

Class of 2013 Frameables! Part 3!

The spectacular class of 2013 continues!  Fall has given way to winter but the fall colors lingered in some cases for longer than we thought.  We still have a few on tap and maybe we’ll get some good snowy scenes, but for now here is the latest round of young inspiring frameables who mean so much to us!  Before we know it they’ll be graduating, moving on and we’ll be photographing the class of 2014!

Ain’t No Family Like A Detroit Family…

As you know we are big fans of the “D” especially if you happened to read our love letter to Detroit.  What we have here is a family who feels the same way… which makes us fans of them too!  This was a great session!  We love a family who together coordinates a theme for their session and what better theme than the Motor City, Detroit Rock City, Motown, the 313, Hockeytown…. you get the picture. It was fun having […]
