Theo Turned One And Had A (Cake) Smashing Good Time Celebrating!

Turning one is pretty cool.  Theo should know – he just did it.  And he brought his brothers and parents to the studio to celebrate the milestone with some portraits – and some balloons – and a CAKE SMASH (which by the way wasn’t the first time for this family)!  Let’s take a look at a few of the highlights shall we?

Kollyns Is The Most Adorable Almost 6 Month Old We Know!

Melyssa was once known (and still is as far as we’re concerned) as the “Frameable Faces Fairy” and she’s a legend here!  She and her family have become friends of ours over the years (here’s a throwback to a session of Melyssa and her sisters) and she recently brought her THIRD child to the studio – almost-6-month-old Kollyns!  Hard for us to believe!  And Kollyns is such an adorable smush.  We loved having her here and we need to show you these highlights!

Alex & Ebony Brought The Whole Crew To The Studio For Family Portraits!

You gotta love when you get a crew that genuinely enjoys being together like these peeps.  Especially when some of them have their own things going on, kids at different levels of school all the way up to college, and indeed this was attempt #2 to get them all in for the session – and it worked!

As for who they are – Alex and I go way back as teammates at Michigan, and he brought his beautiful wife and all the kids here for a memorable afternoon!  Pretty excited to share these so let’s get to it:

Ezra, Meet World. World, Meet Ezra (and his family)!

Is there anything better than Ezra?  As in photographing Ezra so soon after he arrives in the world?  Not much.  We love newborns and we have to say that this newborn set the record for shortest and easiest newborn portrait session in Frameable Faces history.  Ezra was a champ – no meltdowns, lots of sleeping – just a mellow little dude and he was a joy to photograph.

Oh – and his family…  they’re also a pleasure including his big sis Izzy who was so sweet and helpful!  Parents Stephanie and Kevin have a great little family going here, and we’re here for it all day – to share these wonderful highlights, so let’s get to them!

We’ve had the pleasure of seeing Alexandra grow from a peanut as a newborn to a one year old with an adorable developing personality and when Alexandra returns we get excited!  This time she returned with her cousins – and while they’ve been here before, this time it was specifically to do a session together and wow did we get some just amazing photos!  Pretty excited to share these….

Turning Eighty Is Great-y For This Lady & We Have The Proof Right Here!

Turning Eighty Is Great-y indeed!  Lynda is so cute and to be here at the studio surrounded by family on the occasion of her 80th is such a special thing.  We had a great session with them and we captured each family unit, group shots – the whole enchilada and here are the highlights!

Mashana is 50 and FABULOUS – and So Is Her Crew!

Mashana is a dynamo.  An extrovert with a huge infectious personality, she came to us with some ideas for her 50th birthday and what a time we had with her and her crew!  Or should we say her crews!  She brought the fam and she brought her girls for some BFF pics – oh and she had a massive “50” delivered to the studio for the session too which we highly recommend YOU do.  So much fun!

The Crying Baby In The Window Grows Up And Has His Bar Mitzvah!

Time sure flies… 
 
So if you’ve been in the Orchard Mall you’ve undoubtedly noticed the crying baby in the window of our studio – it’s impossible not to and that photo has provided many a smile and a laugh to a passerby over the past decade-plus…

Well that little crying baby is our nephew Gabe, and Gabe hit the milestone of his Bar Mitzvah this past Fall!  Like many events that were scheduled for 2020 there were many adjustments that had to be made on the fly – in Gabe’s case a postponement and then a scaling back that may have bummed out and even broken a “lesser man”, but Gabe took it in stride and didn’t let a crappy year dim his shine!  With a little creativity and a lot of hard work it was still an event to remember.  I know we always will!

Gabe’s service was immediate family only.  BUT…. everyone was still “there” not only on zoom but in the form of cutouts like you see at sporting events!!!  They filled the sanctuary and I (Doug) grabbed this panorama with my iPhone of the scene!
 
How cool is that?  This was a surprise for Gabe – just one of many ways his parents Stacy and Jason made it special for him (cutouts by Winning Imprints)!
 
Here is the man at the bimah with the Torah!
 
After a small outdoor “tailgate” in the parking lot with a few masked and distanced family members we headed back to the house for a very small get together, with all of Gabe’s favorite foods!
 
Gotta love the special edition Gabriel gear!  Hoodies by MyLocker.net in Detroit!  We even had Gabriel masks!
