Mason Makes It Happen On His Senior Picture Session!

Mason definitely made it happen on his senior session – and it wasn’t his first one.  Okay well it was his first one that was his senior session but he came along on his brother Reed’s session a year ago so he knew what to expect and he was ready to roll.  What a great kid – the kind of kid you can look at him a certain way and get him laughing and then everyone is laughing.  We had a lot of fun and mom Tracie and dad Brent joined again and we’ve known them for decades.  Brent is one of the few really cool people I met back in my corporate days who I’ve remained friends with and the whole family is great.

Mason Makes It Happen

So with Mason the plan was to head over to the Franklin Cider Mill to get some location photos – always a great spot and we’ll start there:

Mason

Looking great!  The conditions were fantastic too as you can see with that great backlight!

We also have some fun behind the scenes action for you first with the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:

And one more up close and personal with our guy before we head back to the studio:

Mason

Stud!!!

At this point we headed back to the studio to get a few more starting with this one…

Mason

How great is the bow tie?  More seniors should wear these…. just sayin’

Here’s another behind the scenes replay – this time from YouTube Live:

And we’ll finish with one more casual shot from the studio:

Mason

And there you have it – Mason made it happen for sure, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Evidence Of Emily Being Exceptional On Her Senior Session!

Yes there is plenty of evidence of Emily being exceptional – not just on her senior session in case the title is misleading, because we’ve known this for a while.  Really since the first time we met her and throughout her time representing the studio as a spokesmodel for the class of 2018!  Plus she’s a North Farmington Raider which always helps, but she’s no ordinary Raider, she’s an accomplished musician and student athlete!  She’s a total character as well so really she’s the whole package and we are huge fans!

Emily Being Exceptional

With Emily we traveled to Ann Arbor and spent the morning photographing on and around the U of M campus which obviously has lots of great spots, and her mom Jen joined – we always have a great time together with them!  We’ll start with this one:

Emily

Stunningly beautiful!

Now there’s a little story with that one… we had a bit of an emergency situation with a big fat bumblebee who was hanging around in the flowers that decided to hitch a ride in Emily’s beautiful long hair and come along in the car…. let’s just say Emily was a little startled when she discovered Mr. Bumblebee.  Holy moly….  haha!  But Emily’s a trooper and she survived!  Lol…

Meanwhile we do have some behind the scenes from our day – not of the bee but of the bee-yoo-tee.  See what I did there?  First with the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:

Here are a couple more where we explored and took advantage of textures and architecture on campus:

Emily

Framed nicely with the full length shot!

Here’s some more behind the scenes fun from the YouTube Live replay:

And now with the close up…

Emily

Emily being exceptional indeed!

At this point after a delicious vegan lunch at The Lunch Room where our Lacey met up with us as well we headed back to the studio in West Bloomfield to get a couple more photos including some focus on volleyball – and this next photo is LIT….  We usually play with fire on the black backdrop but this one on the grey is just awesome

Emily

A great one to finish on!  So as you can see there was plenty of evidence of Emily being exceptional and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Oh Olivia We Love Ya And Your Senior Pictures Are Fantastic!

Oh Olivia we love ya!!!  We have loved this senior pretty much since we met her – she’s cool, smart, athletic, nice, pretty on the inside and out – the whole package!  You may remember that she kicked off the spokesmodel sessions for the class of 2018 with some shots that have already solidified themselves as iconic shots in Frameable Faces lore!

Oh Olivia!

So needless to say we were excited to get her in front of Ally’s camera again this time outside in a gorgeous setting and the results are stunning as we knew they would be!  Since we were exclusively in the studio the first time around we went totally on location this time joined by Olivia’s awesome mom Liz, and……wow!

Oh Olivia

Love it – the blue shirt and the blue eyes!

We also have some fun behind the scenes for you – first from the replay of our live broadcast from Facebook Live:

At this point we focused on some of the pretty colors we found – plenty of purple, green and yellow goldenrod like this one:

Oh Olivia

Love that – and that lighting is perfect!  Olivia looks amazing.

We also have more behind the scenes from our replay of our YouTube Live broadcast – such a cool spot on the bridge…

And the sublime result…

Oh Olivia

What a session…  and we’ll leave you with this one last photo:

Oh Olivia

Amazing!!! Oh Olivia we love ya for sure!!!  And we hope you all enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Closing In On Absolute Clearcut Cuteness With Chloe!

Hmmmm….. how to achieve absolute clearcut cuteness…?  Let’s see:

1 – Very smart sweet cute senior

1- Awesome Family

1- Perfect Day for shooting

Several – Undefinable intangibles that just make everything seem to work

Meet ahead of time, mix all ingredients together and serve!

Yep – the recipe worked.  We definitely closed in on absolute clearcut cuteness with Chloe.

What was kind of fun was the parent trade off that happened!  Chloe’s mom JJ and her dad Adam had just slightly overlapping schedules and so JJ was with us for some of the day and she “handed off” to Adam to hang out with us for the end of the session!

Absolute Clearcut Cuteness

So we started with a little bit of studio work which yielded this photo on the white background:

Absolute Clearcut Cuteness

We love that one – just cool confident and chill!

At this point we headed out to Birmingham for location photos and we started at Quarton Lake where we got this stunning close up:

Absolute Clearcut Cuteness

Wow!

We also have some fun behind the scenes for you starting with the replay of our YouTube Live broadcast – be sure to subscribe to our channel to tune in to future broadcasts!

We also headed into downtown Birmingham to get some city photos like this one – this photo is one that has one of those undefinable intangibles that we mentioned in the recipe above.  We had no idea that the shadow of me holding “Reflecto” our reflector would form a big heart until we saw the result!

Absolute Clearcut Cuteness

So fun!

And we also have more behind the scenes fun here from the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:

And one more photo to share from the top of one of the parking structures – cool shot here…

Absolute Clearcut Cuteness

Absolute clearcut cuteness indeed!

And there you have it – we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with Chloe!!!

Up And At ‘Em For Some Laker Pride And Senior Photos With Jared!

When we say we were up and at ’em for some Laker Pride with Jared we aren’t kidding!  The first photo you’ll see in these sneak peeks is one you would assume was a night time shot, but it was actually a morning shot before sunrise!  The schedule just worked out that way so we said let’s go for it, and you know what?  There’s something to be said for that “early to bed early to rise” thing…  ha!  Meanwhile Jared is a cool dude and his dad Phil joined us who was very helpful having dabbled in some photography himself.  Needless to say, it was a memorable morning and the proof is in the portraits.

Laker Pride with Jared…

So for the first shot we headed back to the West Bloomfield High School SWAMP (that’s the nickname for their football stadium) where we’ve photographed a couple of Jared’s teammates this year to get what has become somewhat of a signature football shot of ours – another winner – Jared looks the part for sure!

Laker Pride

Looking good – Laker Pride indeed…

Once we got the photos we needed at the Swamp we headed over to Birmingham to take a few city photos and we have a little behind the scenes fun for you starting with the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:

Here are two of the resulting photos from this segment of the morning:

Laker Pride

Big fans of that one…  and one more:

Laker Pride

Nice!

At this point we brought it back home to the studio to finish up and here is the behind the scenes as Jared donned his letter jacket and showed off a little versatility with a multi-sport approach, and maybe our first shot put photo (?)….

And here is the result!

Laker Pride

Awesome stuff.  We had one heck of a morning with this guy and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time with him!

We’ve Got Much Senior Picture Magnificence With Madelin!

We’ve got much senior picture magnificence with Madelin and we’re excited to share some of it!  Madelin is a Frameable legacy since her brother Nathan was here a couple of years ago, and what’s funny is that while Madelin’s mom Tracy and her sister Nora both joined us on this session, Madelin herself played the “mom role” on Nathan’s session making sure he was on point – so this wasn’t her first rodeo so to speak – ha!  Meanwhile we’ve known Madelin since she was born – her dad is an old college teammate of mine so sessions like these are always a little surreal for us – in a magnificent sort of way…..

Magnificence With Madelin

With this session we spent the entire time on location on a perfect morning the last day of August and we started at Heritage Park in Farmington Hills:

Madelin

Off to a great start!  Madelin looks great and we love that spot on the rocks…

We also have some fun behind the scenes action from the session like we always do – first from the replay of our Facebook Live broadcast:

Moving right along we have this one of Madeline with a little help from a gentle breeze!

Madelin

…and one more from Heritage Park up close – LOVE this one:

Madelin

The lighting, the smile – it all came together for that shot for sure – there’s that magnificence we’re talking about!!!

Madeline will be pursuing her education and softball career at U of M Dearborn – so cool!  We wanted to get a photo to reflect that so at this point we headed to a local softball diamond…  here is the behind the scenes from our YouTube Live broadcast:

And the result:

Madelin

Go Blue!

And there you have it!  Senior picture magnificence with Madelin!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

A Perfect Day In Detroit Photographing Jordyn Is Our Jam!

We’ve had a ball photographing Jordyn while she’s been representing our studio as a spokesmodel for the class of 2018, and a perfect day in Detroit photographing Jordyn is definitely our jam.  As was the case with Jordyn’s spokesmodel session this was a family affair with mom Stacy, dad Eric, and even older sister Sydney met up with us for part of the day!  The game plan here other than the yearbook headshot at the studio was to explore Detroit and explore Detroit we did!

In Detroit Photographing Jordyn…

We started out at Belle Isle which is where we spent a good deal of time.  The more we shoot there the more great spots we find.  The first photo we’ll highlight is of Jordyn at the James Scott Memorial Fountain:

Detroit Photographing Jordyn

Great spot, great backlight, great senior!  As I said we roamed around the island and even stopped at the beach for a few yoga poses as you’ll see in this fun behind the scenes replay of our Facebook Live video we did!

Here’s another photo with the unique aesthetic of looking through a natural window at our girl…

Detroit Photographing Jordyn

So cool and Jordyn looks amazing!

To Eastern Market…

At this point we headed over to the Eastern Market area for some murals to play with and some grit and we found plenty of both!  First the mural:

Detroit Photographing Jordyn

Knowing where your light is and how to use it is key…. love the backlight on Jordyn’s hair once again!

We also have some more fun behind the scenes here as we headed into one of our fave empty buildings – this time from the replay of our YouTube Live video:

And the result with the grit:

Detroit Photographing JordynAwesome shot to finish with!  Yes being in Detroit photographing Jordyn is definitely our jam and you can see why!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Twin Seniors Part 2! This Time It’s Shoshie Fo Sho!

As promised we present Part 2 of yesterday’s Twin Senior highlights!!!  Yesterday the focus was on Hallie, and today it’s Shoshie FO SHO!!!  Haha!  Loving the results from the day we spent with these two and their mom Caryn – we laughed a lot that day and the girls were rock stars!

Shoshie Fo Sho!

The focus for both girls was the summer style portraits on location in a natural setting so today will be more of the same awesomeness, and we’ll start with this one on the edge of the Quarton Lake dock in Birmingham:

Shoshie Fo Sho

She looks great!  A little backlight and great conditions that day too!

The next pose shows a playful side of Shoshie – much fun!

Shoshie Fo Sho

Love it!

We also have the behind the scenes live stream from Facebook for you – the YouTube Live broadcast is in Hallie’s post.

With twins we have plenty of time to roam around and hit different spots and here’s one of Shoshie in the stream…Shoshie Fo Sho

Love her reflection in the water too!

One more of Shoshie close up….

Shoshie Fo Sho

So pretty – and one of the girls together in the water….!

Shoshie Fo Sho

So adorable!!!

So there you have it!  Twin seniors, twin blog posts, twin highlights – double the fun, and we hoped you enjoyed the photos!

Who Had A Senior Session Ablaze With Awesomeness? Absolutely Abby!

If you ask us to name a fun, smart, adorable senior whose session was ablaze with awesomeness we would surely say it’s Absolutely Abby!  Love this girl.  We’ve also known her dad going back to high school and beyond and she’s a friend of our Lacey so this was another session with many elements lined up to make it a success.  Abby’s mom Dana joined us as well and we decided that we kinda like her too like a lot.  So let’s get to it…

Absolutely Abby

We started off in the studio first on the clean and contemporary white background for this sweet close up of our girl:

Absolutely Abby

Love it!

We also have some fun behind the scenes action for you as we usually do – first with the replay of our YouTube Live broadcast with the “black and blowy” set up:

How fun is she?

And the result….

Absolutely Abby

So glam!

Ablaze With Awesomeness

At this point we headed out on location on a perfect summer afternoon where our lighting and our conditions overall were just perfect!  Here are a couple from the nature preserve in West Bloomfield…

Absolutely Abby

Love that shot…  and actually we have a little more behind the scenes fun this time from our Facebook Live replay:

Love Abby at the end of both of those!  LOL!

And we’ll leave you with one more from the location:

Absolutely Abby

Ablaze with awesomeness – absolutely Abby!!!!  We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Crazy Stuff Happened In The NICK Of Time On NICK’s Senior Session!

Crazy stuff happened indeed on Nick’s senior session!  It’s not often that a sheriff hauls away your senior at the end of his session…. but in this case the sheriff definitely showed up in the NICK of time!  See what I did there…?  Haha!  Meanwhile this session was a family affair with both of Nick’s siblings and his mom Paola joining us!  Nick is a lucky guy – he has amazing and supportive siblings and they helped out a lot.  What a special day and Nick totally rocked his session!  Paola was a little stressed about getting the best shots but I think Ally and Nick connected and, well – you’ll see the results…

Nick’s Senior Session

We started out in the studio where we used the silver metal and black backgrounds.  Let’s start with the silver first:

Nick's Senior Session

That looks like a guy who is having fun!

We also have some fun behind the scenes action for you starting with the Facebook Live broadcast replay:

So fun!  And here’s the shot on the black with the black leather – very cool:

Nick's Senior Session

Big smiles.

At this point it was time to head to Pontiac to get some urban shots and that’s where the crazy stuff happened!  We’ll get to that…

First let’s take a look at a couple of great shots of our guy:

Nick's Senior Session

Steps…..and stairs….

Nick's Senior Session

Now here is where the crazy stuff happens!  Here’s the YouTube Live Replay where we ran into Officer Piotrowski from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, and lo and behold he gave us a police escort for our session and helped with location scouting and everything!  Just in the NICK of time!!!!

But…..

Nick still ended up in the police car.

NICK's Senior Session

Hahaha….  and here is the Snapchat story which we had to include here because it’s just too good.

So there you have it!!!  Nick’s senior session was one we will never forget that’s for sure, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day!
