Faris is a legacy with big shoes to fill – his sister Nora‘s portrait has been hanging in the studio for a couple years from her senior session! But we have to say Faris was totally up for the challenge and created plenty of magic on his own with some FIRE and some FALL FLAVA! Great kid, great family – we were not surprised in the least. Mom & Dad Rajaa & Elias are delightful and we have a great time hanging with them. Now let’s get to some highlights!
Fall Flava & Fire with Faris!
We started on location and we were able to get some cool fall colors – mostly some shades of maize first in the background of the meadow…
Good looking dude!
We also have some fun behind the scenes from that photo on Instagram:
Next up we were able to position our guy with some framed fall colors for some Pure Michigan through the brick – very cool shot!
At this point we headed back to the studio where we went with some sports and some style… First the sports with a little West Bloomfield Laker pride – and the FIRE!!! ⚽️🔥
Here is some more behind the scenes of the fire on Facebook:
Lastly we’ll go with the formal look on the grey paper:
What a stud – what a session! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with Faris!

Wow. Let’s just say we’re pretty DARN excited to share these highlights from Taylor’s senior session…. We fell in love with both Taylor and her mom Charese pretty much immediately. You can just tell when you connect with your people, and we laughed our butts off on this session – we just had a blast and the results, well….you’ll see. Meanwhile Taylor is a senior at Detroit Country Day and she’s adorable. Funny, smart, beautiful, artistic, athletic – a quintuple threat, and we actually broke this session up into two days because we had some specialized strategies laid out to capture what we wanted, so let’s get to the highlights!
Smokin’ Session With Taylor
Okay so actually the smokin’ part happened on the second day. The first day we started in the studio and we’ll start there:
So cute!
We also have some behind the scenes – first from Instagram:
At this point we headed outdoors to Birmingham where our favorite little tree was in full Pure Michigan mode! We only get this tree in the fall for a short window each year so we are always so excited when we do! Here’s a little more behind the scenes from Facebook and we have to give props to Taylor who was a real trooper because it was quite chilly…
We also got some yellows and oranges – all the Pure Michigan feels!
LOVE that one – the sweater was perfection for this photo.
Now for day two. We headed over to the track at Detroit Country Day where Taylor’s peeps were practicing – cheerleaders, football – she had an audience! And we had a WARM evening which was great. We’re obsessed with how these came out with a little off camera flash combined with some incredible natural lighting…
Wow right???
Now for the SMOKIN’ part… and first one more behind the scenes video from Facebook:
And the smoke:
Oh yeah…..
And there you have it! A smokin’ session indeed with this young lady, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with her!

Shae is such a good natured dude – we knew this session would be a sure thing when we met with him. We did some really cool stuff and Shae enjoyed himself for sure! His younger twin sisters Tori and Savannah joined us along with his mom Julie and we had a great time! Shae is a class of 2021 senior and he’s all about hoops so we did a little of that, a little bit of the Pure Michigan fall color look, and yep – it turned out to be a sure thing – a winner of a session! Let’s get to the highlights:
A Sure Thing With Shae
We started out in the studio with a little FIRE!
How cool! We also have some behind the scenes from this photo on Facebook:
At this point we headed out to a couple locations – first on the trail network to one of our faves:
The kid is photogenic AF.
Here’s another:
Love the Pure Michigan feel!
We have some behind the scenes here from Quarton Lake on Instagram as well which was our last stop…

As you know we always look to come up with fun catchy titles for our blog posts and we don’t usually “talk to our seniors” in the title. But we’re not sorry – we’re doing it because we think it’s fun – like Abby! She’s got just a hint of snark (which we love) to go with her adorable which she also has plenty of. We had a perfect day for her session and it wasn’t the first time she’s appeared on our blog – the first time was for her bat mitzvah just four short years ago! Both of her parents came to the session which also made for a fun time – I (Doug) especially loved Adam trolling me about my lighting assistance for Ally pretty much the whole time. Hehe…. In all seriousness we enjoy Adam and Lorie a lot and have actually known them for many years now going back to when our kids were in elementary school together. So let’s get to Abby’s pics shall we?
Atta Girl Abby!
So Abby is an athlete – a soccer player like her sister Elizabeth but while we did studio soccer pics with her sister, with Abby we took it to the field at WBHS and got some really cool stuff… like this one:
SOOOO COOL!!! Go Lakers!
We also have some fun behind the scenes first from the livestream we did on Facebook Live:
At this point we headed to Birmingham to get some natural photos at Quarton Lake…
Beautiful! Let’s give a shout out here to Francie Fruitman for the makeup, and we also have some more behind the scenes fun this time from Instagram TV!

Andrew knows how to call audibles – he was the quarterback at Bloomfield Hills High School and a teammate of our Tony, and we watched him grow and develop into a fine player through hard work. He’s a great kid, and an audible if you didn’t know is basically the decision to adapt and change your plan depending on the circumstances – such as what the defense is presenting before the play during a game, or the weather and timing on a photo session perhaps. In our case we improvised for some textures instead of going into a city setting and we were able to get into the locker room at BHHS for a couple cool photos and to warm up since it was freezing outside. BUT we still got the nighttime bleacher photo that we wanted so it all worked out to be a winning session!
Audibles With Andrew
Let’s start in the studio with a dapper formal picture:
Stylin’!
We also have some behind the scenes – first with Instagram Live from the studio in uniform:
We switched up from formal to uniform and back again for both in studio and on location – audibles remember? Let’s head over to the school at this point but first with another stylish up close pic before we get into game gear!
Looking great!
At this point we headed into the locker room and we’ve got more behind the scenes from Facebook Live this time:
…and the result:
Andrew totally looks ready to go out and do battle….and we’ll stay with the football look for one of our faves to do – we’ve only done this a few times ever and each time it’s killer…
And there you have it! We enjoyed watching Andrew on the field this past season with the rest of the Blackhawks – they all made us proud, and we had a great time creating these images and calling audibles with Andrew! We hoped you enjoyed the highlights!

We love our seniors as you know, and we’re always really impressed with seniors who take the initiative to call the studio themselves and set up their own session! This is not a knock on the seniors whose parents make the call, but we love when we can hear the confidence and eloquence of a young person who can handle themselves so well right off the bat! This was the case with Anika, and that first impression was just the tip of the iceberg. She is such a sweetheart! Anika is also the number 1 ranked tennis player in the state of Michigan and is leaving this month to embark on her journey to play tennis at the University of North Carolina! Doug’s Godfather played football at UNC back in the 50’s so we’ve always had a slight affinity for the Carolina Blue and White and now we’ll have a personal connection there with someone whose career we are excited to follow!
Anika Serves Up An Ace
As for her senior session it was one to remember – both her parents Pat and Sushma joined us for her day and they are both delightful – we had a lot of fun – and the photos? Just awesome – an ACE of a session for sure and you could say we “LOVE” this girl – see what we did there? Let’s get to the highlights!
We’ll start in the studio on the black…
Beautiful!
We played around with the white background too – so many options and it has been hard to narrow these down for this blog post… In the meantime we have some fun behind the scenes first from the replay of the Facebook Live broadcast in the studio:
At this point we headed out to the tennis courts for some location photos and we had some really cool Michigan fall colors in the background for a tennis setting which was pretty neat as Anika donned some UNC gear:
Servin’ and slayin’….
We also have some behind the scenes fun from the tennis court at West Bloomfield High School from our Instagram livestream – take a look:
From there we headed over to Birmingham and these next two are both closeups but they’re just too good – so instead of choosing we’re leaving you with these two… one on the dock at Quarton Lake:
And one with a change of wardrobe and a natural background – awesome!!!
Anika served up an ACE of a session indeed, she’s got the ADVANTAGE for life, and we LOVE her for sure! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time with her!

Yes Ben plays soccer and he’s a baller – but we think that applies to more than just how he plays on the pitch. We’ve known Ben and his family for a long time and he’s a good dude – you could say being a baller is just an overall description of this guy. Good kid, involved in the community, athlete, student – he’s got it all, and we had a lot of fun with him and his mom Leigh on his senior session!
Ben Is A Baller
We started on location and headed over to Bloomfield Hills High School first to get a few photos of Ben in his gear – this is a great one!
Bad ass…
As usual we have some fun behind the scenes from the day starting with the replay of our broadcast on Facebook Live:
Time now for a change in location over to downtown Birmingham first with this cool close up:
And how about this one with the city lights and the Birmingham Theater marquee!
At this point we headed back to the studio to finish up once we ran out of daylight and we’ll leave you with this portrait of our guy:
Awesome! We also have the behind the scenes Snapchat story for you – the filters are missing for some weird reason but it’s still plenty fun!
And there you have it – Ben is a baller and he delivered on an awesome senior session! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

We are ever loving Emma for sure in this senior session! It was one like very few others… across multiple locations, inclement weather that we ultimately worked to our great advantage, outfits, styles, settings – it was epic and sprawling and we loved all of it! We also love Emma’s mom Lija – we had so much fun with the two of them! The funny thing is we actually snapped a photo of Emma at prom with her date and our Lacey and her date over a year ago and hadn’t even realized it when they called to book her senior pics! Like it was meant to be!
Ever Loving Emma
So let’s start with the first day in the studio on the red couch…
Love that! Gorgeous and a fun playful photo of Emma!
We also have some behind the scenes fun first from a Facebook Live broadcast from the studio…
Next we headed to the ice to get this fabulous photo… these are always a fun challenge – usually with me walking out on to the ice with the off camera flash trying not to wipeout lol!
So graceful!
Day 2
After a rainout we rescheduled at a private location that we DO have available for future photo sessions if our clients request it and what a spot! AND we had a perfect day with big beautiful snowflakes falling and no wind… we started in the hayloft – check out the behind the scenes:
And here’s the result!
SO COOL!!!
Emma spotted a swing on the property and we jumped on it so to speak… we’ll finish with that photo!
How cute is she?
Lastly we’re going to leave you with the snapchat story with highlights from both days!
And there it is – ever loving Emma indeed! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day(s) with her!!!

A double eagle is rare in golf and it’s a truly excellent result, so we’re going to score our senior session with Sheldon this way! It was EPIC. Besides, we’ve known Sheldon since kindergarten when he and our Tony were in class together so this was another surreal session for us.
Double Eagle With Sheldon…
Sheldon’s dad Eric joined us and we had much fun and a great game plan. We started in the studio with some fire with Sheldon’s clubs and his shoes! We’ll highlight one of those to start with:
Sweeeeeet….
We also have some fun behind the scenes action for you first from the Facebook Live broadcast we did in the studio:
At this point we headed out – first for a stop at the house to get a photo with the pups!
Haha!!! That’s a fun one.
We then headed over to Franklin Hills for a few photos on the golf course – what a great setting! Sheldon is on the golf team at Roeper High and you can just see the focus in his swing here!
Fore!!!
We have some more behind the scenes too from the Instagram Live for the last outfit change we’ll show here:
And the result….
Great one to finish with! A double eagle session with Sheldon indeed! We hope you enjoyed the highlights of our day with him!

Soccer senior sessions and Fall sessions are cool, and with Josh we got both! Josh is a legacy and soccer runs strong in his family as we found out when his brother Jake came in a few years ago, and we love this family so we knew Josh would be a good dude – he was the only one we hadn’t met yet!
Soccer Senior
We started in the studio where Josh’s mom Shari joined us for the fun! We broke out the fire for this first pic – check it out:
So dope.
We also have some fun behind the scenes action from that image from the Instagram Live broadcast we did:
At this point we headed out for some fall colors as they are really cool here in Michigan when the leaves start to turn… It was a pretty chilly day but as we (or at least I) say it’s ALL mental! Lol…
Pure Michigan! Josh looks great!
We have some more behind the scenes from that photo as well – this time from Facebook Live:
Let’s leave you with a couple more – first in a relaxed pose:
And one last photo… don’t try this one at home…hehe.
Awesome – fire, fall and a soccer senior – what could be better? Josh is a great kid who is going to go far, and we hope you enjoyed the highlights of our time with him!
