These Adorable Sisters Are Growing Up!

When we met these beautiful young sisters three years ago we were taken with them immediately!  They were comfortable in front of the camera from the very beginning and that hasn’t changed at all.  Younger sis was one of our very first “flower pot” babies when she was 6 months old!  She’s 3 1/2 now with personality to burn and her older sister who was 6 then is quite the 9 year old young lady now!

Adorable Sisters

They were very well prepared and coordinated for this shoot and we had a great time with them.  It makes for a very special photo shoot when you can reconnect with the kids you knew from so little and watch them grow up right in front of your camera!  Enjoy!

Ice Ice Baby….  Ice Ice Baby….  All right STOP!  Collaborate and listen.  Ice is back with my brand new invention.  Something grabs a hold of me tightly.  Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly.  Will it ever stop? Yo – I DON”T KNOW!!!!!!

But that song has been going through our heads here at the studio since our photo session with the G family.  🙂

When M, S and their sons walked through the door, we knew we were going to have a phenomenal session.  And fantastic it was!  N wowed Ally with his awesome sauce and his fun sweet hilarious personality, while M was a total ham rapping the little ditty mentioned above all the way through!  The kid has skills!  Jumping, laughing, general silliness….we had it all during their session.  And isn’t that what it’s all about?  Having fun, creating memories and the images that capture them AS THEY’RE HAPPENING!

Remember this little angel face???  Frameable Faces Photography Brochure 2011

Well, she’s back from gracing our brochures and is now a big girl!!!  She just turned two and was STILL such a blast to work with!

Since little Miss H was born, she’s been a fun one to photograph.  This time, she was all on her own schedule.  She was absolutely adorable and kept Ally moving (because Ally LOVES H, she totally didn’t mind chasing after her!).  We were able to get a bunch of really great images from the session…It’s always so much fun to watch our past “baby planners” grow up into little people.  It’s such a blessing to have amazing clients like L and M that trust you to capture their sweet little ones.  Yet another reason we love our job…We meet the most amazing people, get to hang out and have fun talking with them, and photograph some awesome kiddos.  Personality and all…H is one of our favorite Frameables!!!

Photos of Total Cuteness!

Child photography, Frameable Faces Photography, West Bloomfield PhotographerYou might recognize this little one.  She and her family have been around the studio for quite awhile now.  When we first met “E”‘s parents, they were having her big brother photographed for his newborn session.  That was two years ago.  Since that time, well, we’ve sort of adopted the S family.  Or they adopted us.  When we found out that E’s mom was pregnant again, she gave us the ultimate compliment.  Aside from asking us to photograph her belly (which currently graces the inside of our current brochure!), and the newborn session of the new baby to be….  She told us that she and her husband J wanted US to be the GODPARENTS of their newest family member!  Of course, Ally cried, and we said yes!

Well, we had E’s newborn session almost 7 months ago and she came back into the studio this past Saturday.  And being a true Frameable, she was a total rockstar!  Full of smiles and personality.  And she LOVED the flower pot!  How cute is she????

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again….our Frameables are the best!  We love each and every one of them.  And in Frameable form, the S family were clients when they first came in to the studio…  And they left as family.  As literally as you can get!

The B Boys Being Boys!

You’ve heard the saying “Boys will be boys”?  These guys were no exception!  But they were completely and totally adorable!  Lots of laughs and LOTS of personality!

Mom was a bit worried that we wouldn’t “get anything good” from this session and she warned us before the session that the boys might give us a hard time.  But since we’re complete “professionals,” we were able to get some awesome expressions!  You know how we do it… silly words and of course screaming really loudly…You know…Totally professional!  Ahhhh….the things we do for our clients!  Ha!!!

Whole Lotta Love!

You may have noticed we (and other frameables) have fallen in love with this pose...

If you’ve ever met Doug, you’ll know that he’s a total music freak.  There are very few people our age that can even come close to his eclectic tastes and can have the level of music knowledge to have a conversation about it.  And then came these guys…..

When we met “M”, we knew that she was an exceptionally cool, down-to-earth girl.  Then when we had the photo session and she came in with bags, yes BAGS, of clothes for her family, we knew she’d won Ally over.  During the photo session, which was filled with laughter, cuteness, “boy” jokes and fun chit chat, we were able to capture some really great shots of these guys.  Supremely photogenic takes on a whole new meaning with this family.

At the end of our time together, M was talking with Doug about music and she was totally holding her own with him!  Y had to take the kids down the hall for some yummy Mickey Mouse pancakes, but it was pretty cool to hear M and Doug chatting about Joe Walsh – M is bit of a rock and roller!  That’s why we’ve aptly named this post after a classic rock song – Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love!
Gotta love super awesome families that you just totally get!

“G” Was This Family Photo Session Fun!

Family Portrait, Frameable Faces Photography, West Bloomfield PhotographerWe met the G family relatively recently when their oldest son became friends with our little guy.  The boys became friends and then we followed suit pretty quickly afterwards!

It’s been kind of a whirlwind, really.  You know how there are people who once you connect with them, it’s like you’ve always known them and been friends with them?  Yeah, that’s us and these guys!  R had mentioned that she’d really like a nice new updated family photo and some nice ones of the boys together.  She was a little bit worried that since we’ve become so close, the boys wouldn’t take it seriously and do it the way that she’d like.  BUT, truth be told, the boys totally rocked it and I’m pretty sure they had fun doing it, too!  We were able to capture some amazing real, natural smiles, some sweet tender moments and had a little bit of fun mixed up in there, too.
This is one of the reasons we love our job.  The look on R’s face when we showed her some of these images was priceless.  These guys really do have a heart of gold!  <3

Frameable Fun with the G’s!

We’ve been photographing this family since before they were a family!  M was one of Ally’s first subjects when she went back to school to study photography.  They’re like family to us here and we always welcome a session with them whenever they ask.  The fact that they’re insanely photogenic doesn’t hurt either!!Family Photography

The “reason” behind the timing of this photo session was that “R” was getting braces the very next day, and M and T wanted a fun family photo session before she got them.  🙂
Ally loved getting some of the fun “interactive” poses with T and B and the sweet, loving mom and daughter poses with M and R, too.  But when the kids got together in their poses, everyone ended up collapsing with laughter.  Those two could have each other in a headlock one second and pull out the best, most amazing expressions in the next.  They’re just like our own kids – laughing and smiling in one moment but then they’ll switch modes on a dime and push each others buttons in the next!  The G family is one that we’ll claim as our own….whenever we’re around these guys, laughs are abundant, fun is obvious and great times are had!

Wooohhhh Hoooooo!!!! Beautiful Girls!!!!

You know, that Van Halen song? Or is it just David Lee Roth? Either way, that song’s been going through my head since I photographed these two. They are definitely beautiful! I’ve posted a few from them before, but here’s the real “sneak peak.”

I don’t know if I could’ve even put a model search out that would have brought me better models than these two. A and S are so pretty and were so great in the studio. They were totally on their game and were perfect models! I was telling Doug that when we get some new props in or just need some models for some new images in the studio, A and S are at the tippy top of our list! LOVED working with them!

So, here’s the real deal from their session. Enjoy the “S” sisters!!!

Until next time,
Ally

What could have been a really tough session….

Turned into a really great one! This is N and L. When their mom came in and booked their Christmas card session, she told me that L hates to have his picture taken. So when L DID come in and started saying that he wanted to leave, I thought for sure I had my work cut out for myself! Especially when he started telling me that I couldn’t talk to him or play with his trucks, etc. I was thinking “Uh oh! I may have met my match!”

BUT-things quickly turned around when I put on my “Ally” charm. I had L smiling and laughing with his big brother.

We did a bunch of silhouettes at the beginning of the session just like their mom wanted (which I loved!!), and then we decided to take a little break so they could head down to Toys3 for a treat for being so good. N was all about making sure we were finished up by 6 so he could get his toys, so we made good on the promise.

Shortly after 6, I heard screaming and crying. Yep! As luck would have it, L really wanted an airplane and couldn’t get one at that time. He was all out of sorts and was NOT a happy camper. We even had a super nice man stop by and offer to make him an airplane! This guy was a seriously great paper-airplane-maker! Is this what it means when they say “it takes a village to raise a child?” So N was appeased for a few minutes and we ended up having to negotiate with him for a bit more. Finally, I had a great idea!

Seeing as it was the night before Thanksgiving and most of the stores were closed, I had the boys yell “BOO!” at me. When they did, I screamed! They thought that this was the funniest thing ever and that was it! I got both boys in flat out HUGE smiles.

By the end of the session N and L didn’t want to leave the studio. We got some unbelievable images and I know that S will be one happy mama! I even got a bunch of hugs from the boys on the way out! Did I mention how much I love my job?????

Until next time,
Ally
